Hey dudes, today i tryed out the b spec nascar championship for the 3rd time. Havent won it yet. In the last race i just had to end in front of Carl Edwards to win the championship. Untill 19 lap i was in 11th place and he was in 12th place. Then suddently he charges in front of me and in just 1,5 lap he goes form 12th to 1st.

Can anybody tell me how this is ever possible?

It is simply just ridiculous.... got so angry that i threw my controller into the floor so it is now in 4 pieces......

11 car draft in a car identical to the others... Same happens on Monza and Indy in FGT championship...

I know how slipstream works.... But this kinda thing just should'nt be possible...

It happen's in real life so it's definitely possible. What I'm surprised about is that the GT AI pulled it off, would be a great replay to watch.

I know. So much for "It's easy to drive around in a circle"

+1. Who hate nascar because they say its just "driving in a circle" are so ignorant and they piss me off.

Yeah, it annoys me too. They are not circles, they are ovals...

My post above was intended as a joke, NOT a hater comment, hence the smileys.

Once again, my humour misses the mark & is totally misunderstood. :(

when you get 20 mins free Watch this high light video...with posh Fade outs added.
All this action in just 1 GT5 race and thats all I Remembered to actualy catch of one 30 lap race
Watch out for the Simulated FOX Sports picture Failure at a very important part of the race.
Can't have Nascar with out a picture failure or adbreak just when the action starts up again.

I know this is gonna be the spark that starts the fire, but I'm going to go ahead and say it anyway. To all those who say that the NASCAR cars are garbage or otherwise talk crap about it, don't hate it just because you haven't the skill to drive it.

nascars aren't bad, it's just wierd seeing them making a right turn

Yea, I love taking them on the road courses. Great fun. Admittedly, these cars can be a handful, but if you can master driving the road courses with these, then you know you've accomplished something. Spa is great fun along with Suzuka. I did the last NASCAR TT and finished 27th. That was a blast competing in that. Wish there would be more of them.

That event is all about when you give Robert his instructions, I got my win after doing a search on GTP for it so try that.

Re NASCAR: Yes very skillful but boring to watch for me sometimes because I do not find the oval/round/rectangular tracks overly thrilling, each to their own though 👍

I don't hate NASCAR in GT and I find them actually pretty easy and fun to drive in GT. But beyond GT I could not watch more than five minutes of a NASCAR race. Pretty fun in GT, but unbearably boring to watch a real race!

I'd rather see a replay of him ragequitting and smashing his controller on the floor. Good stuff there!

NASCAR is very cool, but some races can't get bored, depending on the track. The best races to watch are the SuperSpeedways (Daytona and Talladega), Indy, some of the 1.5 mile/short tracks and the roadcourses races.

They turn right? I'd never say racing Nascar requires no skill, all racing requires some skill, but on a scale of 1 to 10, if road racing is a 10 then Nascar is a 1 or 2. The number of paramaters in involved in road racing is nearly unlimited with cars on the edge, every corner, every lap. With Nascar you really only need to focus on the draft, where everyone is around you and position yourself and your drafting partner for a good run to the finish. It's fun for a while, but it's so one dimensional it gets boring real fast. My 7 year old nephew seems to like it though... They are much more fun to race on a road course but the tire wear is insane. They handle extremely well for their massive bulk.

Been so long since I've done that B-Spec Nascar race but off the top of my head, wouldn't you just up the pace to stay ahead? I'm sure if you do some searching, perhaps in the B-Spec Forum, you'll find some tips that will help you.

Feel free to post the ragequitting video or at least a pic of the destroyed controller..

hey, i used a nascar 2011 to get gold on every race...you need a very skilled driver (level40) to win...first run the last race to see how your driver is doing before running the championship...

edit (pushing the driver is wearing tyres out too quickly...)

Yea, they turn right. Like I said before, take your NASCAR car to a road course then we'll see how one dimensional you think it is. Yes, racing at Daytona and Indy does get boring after awhile, which is why I started road course racing with these cars. Great fun in my opinion.

watkins glen and sears point tracks were always cool in old nascar games. nascar itself blows. we used to go to pocono race way infield and nobody even watched the race. just a big redneck party.

but nascar definitely doesnt have ASM AND ABS so what the hell is this crap. cant beat this last nascar special event. ridiculous.

Hmmm...thought that's what I said.

Don't think it takes a level 40 driver to beat the Nascar event. I did mine with a level 20 or so.
