just wondering..

I have set mine up so that the left analogue is brake and throttle and the right is steering..

(I race R/C cars so it is natural for me)

how do you guys do it? and how quick would you say you were?

I find having a nice analogue throttle great!! (I know the bottons are a little proportional but its not the same...)

I've got my sticks set up the other way round. How quick am I? Reasonably, I would guess.

Welcome to GTPlanet!

I just use the defaults. They make sense to me for a video game. I can see where you're coming from on the R/C stuff, though.

Yep I have the dual analog controlls as well. Although not from R/C cars. It was the default controlls in the first Toca Touring cars game on the PSX. Its probably the greatest for throttle controll with the PSX pad that you can get.

I also use the defaults for the game. I find it set up as the best way.

I also use default , and is there anyone here who always plays with the music switched off? Its a habbit from GT2 where I found the music very bad ...

Hehe, I hear ya :p I need to hear my cars too. Vrrooom *friggin'* vrrooomerthevrroooMMmm.

I play with music off because it makes the game a bit more realistic. I like the sound of the cars vrooming around me.

i tried to use the right analog stick for the throttle just because it's pressure sensitive but the throw was still too short to make much of a difference to me and i went back to the conventional controls which i'm more used to. short of a gas pedal, the analog use of the throttle is just about wasted on the controller for me.

thx rufrgt_sn00pie2001,

Oh yeah, the worst thing that can happen is when u start a vry vry long endurance race and have to listen to the music for 2 hours straight !!! Once and never again ;)

hahaha - atleast with GT3 the music is varied when doing an endurance race - that was *the* most tedious thing with GT2 - the music didnt' change, just kept repeating the same song over and over.

I myself have the music on, and, like my truck (with the broken CD changer) I can only listed to the same songs over and over again.

I really do have to get that fixed. hehehe

I use the defaults to play the game. It works fine for me, so why change it.
After i completed the Beginner League, i switched the music off and just listened to the cars and the engines. Beautiful sounds:D
