How many CDs do you have (roughly)?

Vote in the poll, then post how long you've been collecting for.

I was given a CD player for my fourteenth birthday, so that's nearly 16 years now. My wife, who's collection is integrated with mine, has been collecting for 10 years.
 
ive probably got 150 - 200 CD's. they have been collected since the late 80's. i should hunt through them one day, i need some more coasters :)
 
Somewhere between 150-200.
I don't buy cd's very often now, after i got internet at home ;)
 
Judging by our storage issues (which have been compounded by the DVD format) we appear to have around 300. I think my contribution to the combined household collection was marginally larger than my partners.

I've been buying/receiving CD's since the mid '80s - partner about the same. There's some embarrassing 80's stuff that even the 2nd hand stores won't touch...
 
I think one of my most embarrassing discs was a bring-home from the last time I was in Australia. And it is: Chain Reaction by John Farnham! I shiver every time my eye glances over it in the rack!
 
ive got one by a band called "chunky custard". i dont even remember buying it.
 
i have about 50, my bro has 20, and my dad has about 250.

i also get cd from my aunt (~300) adn my uncle (~200)
 
I have about 300 CDs, collected over the last 10 years or so. What that doesn't show is 700+ LPs that I haven't listened to in the last 10 years or so. There is surprisingly little overlap between the two collections.
 
150-200 my first cd i got was 311- soundsystem i have been collecting for 4 years, the majority of my cd's came from a 24 hour spending spree at best buy, $500 worth of cd's (thank you mommy :))

I got my first cd player nearly 5 years ago but for the first 2 years of having it i listened to my sisters and dad's cds.
 
I only have like 20. The rest I just get from my friends. They buy, I copy them. :)
 
I have about 45 cds. I only really started buying cd's about 1,5 years ago. Would have more If I had more money.

Heh - that was one of the artists I was referring to...

Oh well, he's retiring now. He sold over 100,000 tickets to his final concerts, so someone's buying his CDs.
 
I've got the 20 or so Mellencamp CD's, the 30 or so Springsteen CD's, the 15 or so Isaak CD's and about twenty others. So, 85. Give or take.

I think I just passed 500 CD's. Bought my first one in '91:

i've been collecting for a long time, my first CD i think was the Rolling Stones Voodo Lounge, i got like 200 cd's i only bought like a 100 of them the other 100 are off the net
