Hey,

Ok I am interested to know who all here races, I mean real racing not street racing or anything. I will start, I have been racing since I was about 8, and moved up through karts, SCCA Solo 2, road racing, and this year working with some ALMS teams, and running my Honda ITC car. Hopefully next year I will do a few races in the ALMS. How about the rest of you?
 
I run drag races everyonce in a while at the track. I also try my hand at autocross when there is one.
 
Hi Simon. Did you used to run a white MR-2 Turbo with the Dixie Region SCCA? If that was you, I was the one in the black M3.

Sorry, must have you mistaken for a different Simon T.

No, I haven't since my wife and I had a child. I used to autocross regularly with Dixie. I will probably make a limited attempt at a respectable showing at a regional/divisional with my new car, but it will not be competative with the class leaders.

Depending on how you look at it, I either have not enough or too much money to go racing :)

Getting an ALMS ride next year? Super cool. What teams have you been talking to? I'd love to see your ITC Honda. Post a pic.

I have been talking with smaller GT teams, I am not sure if it will be ALMS or something else like Grand Am, I will post pics later today I will got take some new ones.
 
The name says it all.I have raced sleds,bikes,stock cars and now back to karts.
 
I've always been really fast in anything with 4 wheels, but I am starting to feel the signs of older (no longer in my driving prime) age.

I raced karts in Junior 1 and Junior 2 from ages 12-16 (I'm 31 now). Recently went to one of those nice go-kart rental places with my friends Kiwannis(sp?) Club. 2 guys were wearing IKF regional champion jackets. I was faster than both of them in the same kart. That made me feel good. :D

I did a lot of track days in the past (Sears Point and Thunderhill) with NASA's HPDE program (cheap track time). Now with 4 kids track driving has all but stopped. I go to the drag strip about 3-4 times a year and do the occasional local BMW or SCCA auto-x.

Had a couple nice things said about me during my first BMW club auto-x this year as well :D (link to the thread, read 2nd post: http://www.baye30.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1702 )

I used to do a lot of street racing as well, but you probably don't want to know about that. :p
