The reason for asking this is that i have finished GT6, with gold on everything except 3 silver on the Ayrton Senna Tribute races.
I used the money glitch, i somewhat regret that, so I’m thinking about to move the save to my memory stick and delete the save from the PS3 and start on scratch.
How many of you are thinking the same or maybe you already have started a new round of GT6? Money glitch or not.

First why should i/you go again to get 100%?
Whats the point of it specially in a racing game. Its not like that something will be different on 2nd run.
Youre gonna get the same reward cars again.
I golded everything. I dont have 2000 cars, but i have the ones that interest me, around 150 (most of them werent in GT5)
I understand for games like God of war 1,2,3 or GTA V to start again.
But on any racing game?
I didnt use any cheats or anything. Cuz i got the game in February and the money glitch was patched till then..
There were some frustrating races like shifter karting in GT6... would you go again, i wouldnt.

:) Thanks for your input this is why i ask, for different opinions.
Yes the shifter karting in GT arena was horribe, the same was the license test with the Bugatti Veyron.
There is not any good racing game out now, i have finished Need for Speed Shift and Shift 2 Unleased, i bought Grid Autosport but i didn't like it and gave it away.
And it's 4 months to Project Cars is coming out and i don't have Xbox so i can't play Forza.
So my options are limted.

I've restarted three times, just something to waste time on I guess.

Do you go for 100% ? or just race the A-Spec races without onemake, coffee break, mission races, moon, Goodwood Festival of Speed, Red Bull X Challenge and Ayrton Senna Tribute?

Definetly not: After GT6's online servers shut down, my journey to GT6 is over. (Unless I have completed 100% and the platinum trophy)

If there was a real career mode in GT I'd do it over if I ever made it to the end. Grid Autosport features challenging career modes in different disciplines with a natural progression to it, moving up from starter cars in each discipline to the upper echelons of the particular category. It has the feel and look of a career with practice/tuning sessions, full qualifying and a race weekend that often features a second reverse grid race of equal length. Something like that I'd enjoy and hope it comes to GT7, but GT6s career mode is not only not challenging, it just has no soul, it's lifeless and blah, and isn't enjoyable for me even once around.

I approach the game in a diffrent way,

i did not glitch, so grinding is still fun for me.

I maintain a mysql database with all my +- 300 tunes and my 20+ tracks i run the most.

I keep track and update my laptimes and in this way i get to know the characteristics of my tunes and my tracks and my developpement as a simdriver. This is big fun to me and once in a while i am able to buy a precious car...

today i bought the miura, it took me a while to save for it, but when i use it now it gives me a lot of satisfaction.

Needles to say that when i race online agaist friends i always (!) have a good tune at hand for the selected track and spec's...

Wouldn't even consider it. The only time I would restart would be if I lost my save. Every GT game has had the option to do every event over and over as much as you want, whenever you want. Every GT game has had an unsatisfying "career" mode based around annoying chase the rabbit events with no actual racing(even with the rabbit). The sole purpose of playing through the offline games has always been to acquire lots of cool toys to take to the track and drive, be it in the events or just hotlapping. Once you have recieved the rewards of suffering through the chore, why do the chore again when you can just replay any part of it you wish?

With the inclusion of one of the worst rubber-banding systems around, GT6 is even less interesting to replay than any other GT game to date. Collect cars, hotlap, play online, do an occasional Arcade race. That's what GT6 is for now for me and I can't see any reason I'd want to make it anything less.

I know some people find some interest in going through the career modes and for some the acquiring of cars is more fun than actually driving them, but for me it's just more trouble than it is worth and I just want to drive. If you want online play or to collect different cars there isn't any reason to start over as you'd lose your car collection and cripple your online garage(at least in your new savegame). If you aren't interested in online play or collecting interesting cars, I honestly don't know why you'd be playing GT6. Now that Grid Autosport has given the PS3 a great actual single-player RACING game, I doubt I'll ever do another career event in GT6 ever again, beyond perhaps a Vettel race or two for money.

All of this is just my foolish personal opinion of course. :)

Don't restart the game.
Create a second account.It's easy.
Then befriend your first account, and accept it in you first account.just for fun in some races you could
load a ghost from the first one.
Start the game .
Now you still got all your cars and money in your original account to go online or what ever.
and in your second accound you trie to improve your times from the first account.

Only one problem, all old vision cars must be bought, you cant win them anymore.
Except the AMG VGT, i still thinks you can get that one for free the first time.
if you have annivers cars in the first account, then you also get them in the new account
also including race suit and paint from the 15th annivers edition.

👍 Thanks for the respons!

I tried to start from scratch, but as several here is pointing out is that it was just boring and i was thinking no way, i will not do this again, so i loaded the old save back with all things done (but my game still says 99% complete :( )
I will still drive the seasonal events and other races that may come to GT6.
I can survive without a driving game until november which will bring us Project Cars ( and maybe GT7...? )

I now have 3 accounts. I use my primary account as you would expect. The second account is for tuning, testing, & racing with family online. The third account is for my Geezer Club online racing. This helps keep Geezer Room I host pretty much to Geezers.
