How many people now are looking forward to F12010 more than GT5?

With the length of time it's taken, the delays, rumours etc. many people must be getting so pissed of with GT5's release being pushed back repeatedly. Im sure im not the only one who feels that the next racing game to look forward to is not GT5 but F1 2010, which, let's be honest, is looking more and more tasty. I'll still be making GT5 an essential purchase, but the focus of my attention just now is F1 2010.

why GT5 needs 6 years for a realase and why needs f1 less than 2 years ?

much people think codemasters have the rights now and they will make a awesome game/sim ,no they will not
the driving is 100% ARCADE and if the tracks will be a little bit like in the real than you can be happy
3.its stupid to "compaire" f1 10 with gt5
if you dont want to wait or anything like this than go and buy f1
i think im one of the biggest f1 fans and i think i play f1 games like ~10years
dont wait to get a good f1 10 ,you will get something like nfs s

GT5 has been talked about FOREVER and it has not come up yet.
So i'm waiting for other games more than GT5 ( at least i know they will come ), there's F12010, modnation racers, Dirt3 maybe even shift 2 and so on.

GT5 will come when PD/Sony feels like releasing it, there does not seem to be any pressure or effort to release it on any timeline 👎.

I have been a die hard GT fan since the very beginning, and i know how much goes into each GT game. I have played racing games since the days of Pole Position, so i have played hundreds of them. Im NOT comparing F1 2010 to GT5 - GT5 will still be mind blowing when it's released. All im saying is that wth F1 2010 looking to be the best F1 game ever, and with GT5 taking longer to come out than people anticipated, i think some will be looking forward to F1 2010 just as much, if not more, than GT5. I am looking forward to both games. Just wondering what people thought, that's all.

in the vids the driving is like in grid/nfs s and the Cars/Tracks arent 1:1
im playing f1 games like 10 years and if you want to play a good f1 game than i can help you

i watch everything about f1 ,i have a f1 video archive...
and I will not buy f1 10 ...because the game has nothing to do with f1
you drive a f1 car but it feels like a 100ps car its so easy
in games/mods its very hard to drive a f1 car and it feels "very realistic"...
f1 10 will be the same game like nfs,grid...with 1 differents :in f1 10 you will drive with a f1 car and in the other games with a race car ...

First I have to beg you to use spellchecking and effort more.

Anyway. It's good to know you've played f1 2010 and can confirm for us that the gameplay is pure arcade. Maybe you could tell us when you tested it out and reached that conclusion? Failing this, maybe you could just shut up.

Second, it's stupid to "compaire" these games, eh? Well, I don't know about that, they're both racing games on the same console which will both include similar cars and tracks (GT will have others, yes, but this does not invalidate comparisons of the aspects which are actually similar). If you want to go around calling stuff people are doing here stupid, whatever, but at least make your post coherent while you're doing it because otherwise it looks like a petulant kid calling all the adults idiots for liking something different than he does.

I have mixed feelings about Codemasters. I'm enjoying the Dirt games but never could get into Grid. I think I can deal with gameplay leaning toward arcade driving a little more when the driving is on dirt and such anyway. The video I've seen of F12010 looks like it has potential, I've seen some cars spin out realistically and the environments sure look good. I won't buy it day one but I'm interested enough to check reviews and impressions here and then maybe buy it on day two. Still buying GT on day one, so to answer the question I guess I'm still more excited for GT. Maybe Codemasters will make the wait easier, though.

Nice to hear from someone who has played it:tup: Considering we havnt even seen the 2010 cars in the game yet its quite an achievement to know for sure how accurate they are. Codemasters themselves have stated its taking a simulation slant, in their words, its easier to make a simulation more accesible so thats what they did.

You also cant compare development time either. F1 2010 is a considerably smaller game than GT5, requiring only 12 cars and 19 circuits to GT5's 500+ cars and 30+ tracks.

You should make sure you use fact before building up a post.

Considering Gran Turismo made tuner culture VERY popular all by itself, I'd say more people are looking forward GT5 more than F1 2010, more so I'm looking forward Codemaster next Toca/Grid game before F1 and Dirt combined.

I guess I should say something about the topic. Um... I'm sure it will help endure the wait for GT5. And regardless if F1 2010 is going to be a proper sim or not, I'm sure it'll be fun regardless. I'm just happy the 2010 season is going to be on a game. Just my thought on the matter.

I play GTR2 & rFactor with no aids. Pretty sure I understand more about this game, than you.

Doesn't change the fact that Codemasters are actually with the Formula 1 teams, & modders aren't. The best thing about F1 mods as well? 99% of the modders & players have never driven a F1 car, you & I included, so it's hilarious to read people praise/bash the physics of the mods beyond reason.

I've logged over 100+ hours on GTR2, some of that from multiple 24H races. I know what sim racing is.

There's only 1 n00b here & it's your pathetic attempt at saying F1 2010 isn't a sim, when you've never played it. So, your opinion is pretty much worth the same as what goes into a toilet.

I love GT5 for the museum of real cars it provides. F1 I enjoy (F1CE that is) because I enjoy F1. Well not everybody is going to agree with me thats expected. Dirt was actually a decent game. Dirt 2 on the other hand practically ruined the game for me due to the game menu's alone.

Older toca games were great. But grid absolutely ruined it. The car behavior was totally wrong.

First, a menu alone caused you to dislike a game?
Second, Codemasters didn't "fail" to produce anything, you just didn't like the game. If they had failed, sales & reviews would show that the game was a flop.

I never said failure meant that grid was a flop. For me it failed to be a game that I enjoyed mostly due to the cars behaviour.

Yes the menu led me to not buying the game (Dirt2). For the time I played it I wasn't able to enjoy it since the gameplay was no real step forward from dirt, and I had annoying overly busy menu's that were pointless. So the game quickly grew annoying and tired for me (as had dirt 1 by the end). What also stopped me from buying the game was the reduction of rally stages as well. Dirt 1 had few enough as it is. The menu's being the strongest factor is a bit of an overstatement but they didn't help the games case none the less.

Just to add I have nothing against arcade games, I love motorstorm and enjoyed Burnout and NFS shift. The formula that codemasters has just used in recent times though has produced games that for one reason or another have been anything but motivating to play.
