How many people now are looking forward to F12010 more than GT5?

I never said failure meant that grid was a flop. For me it failed to be a game that I enjoyed mostly due to the cars behaviour.
That's what a flop is. A failure.....You said Codemasters failed to produce a quality racing game, which implies that you think all their racing games have been flops for you. Majority of sales & general reviews say otherwise.
Yes the menu led me to not buying the game (Dirt2). For the time I played it I wasn't able to enjoy it since the gameplay was no real step forward from dirt, and I had annoying overly busy menu's that were pointless. So the game quickly grew annoying and tired for me (as had dirt 1 by the end). What also stopped me from buying the game was the reduction of rally stages as well. Dirt 1 had few enough as it is. The menu's being the strongest factor is a bit of an overstatement but they didn't help the games case none the less.
That's a bit odd considering the menu didn't change all that much from Dirt to newer Codemaster racing games.

Are you blind? You have claimed multiple times to have played F1 10 which isnt due out for months and also seems to think everyone other member is a "noob"who know nothing about sim racers.

Hurry up and get banned you waste of bandwith.

Your spelling and punctuation is also horrendous.

Failed to produce a quality racing game in years (not forever, I was only suggesting their RECENT titles sucked/failed/flopped etc. You need to understand I am giving my opinion, not stating facts. Opinions don't need to coincide with facts. Just like if a game is popular doesn't mean every person that plays it will think it's good. Another example is FIFA 10. Got decent ratings and most people love the game. Personally I hated it and prefer the FIFA titles from pre-2002.

This whole thread is asking for people's opinion anyway and I gave it. Just because I don't agree with a majority or with you doesn't mean I am wrong or that you are wrong.

Are you sure you played dirt 1 and 2? The menu's are nothing alike.

Yeah I'm looking forward to F1. What's that guy going on about, cars 1 : 1? Someone explain that please.

Can't say I'm looking forward to it more than GT5 but I'll definitely try it out, depending on GT5's release date, of course.

I'm just waiting for Famine to get here to rip this guy to shreds about his appalling grammar and spelling.

Don't get me wrong, I live for the GT games. I also love Codemasters games(although Dirt 2 is the weakest thing they have ever done). I love all 'sim' based racing games - arcade stuff doesn't do it for me at all. My next purchase is Moto GP09/10 since I don't own at motorbike racing game. It's nice to have racing games based on official motorsports in your collection, as long as they are done well. F1 2010 looks strong. If Codemasters can pull off the 'sim' side of it properly, i think it will be good enough to sit alongside GT5. It's just a shame that F1 games are no longer PS exclusives, otherwise they both would have been a reason for people to get a PS3. Bad move Sony.

IndyCar (PC version) was the last Codemasters game that I really enjoyed. Ever since, they came up with games that kept me going for a couple of weeks, but I got tired of them because they just can't give me a proper driving feeling.
So no, I'm not looking forward to it, unless they can prove they've got it right this time with a public demo...

I'm not really forward to buying F12010, although I could try out its demo though.

At least on the 360 & PS3, no demo.

Actually I am kinda beginning to anticipate F1 more. I still recognize that GT5 could blow its doors off, but as of right now I have much more information to base my F1 opinion on. Also, dare I say it, I'm kinda feeling like GT5 might end up being TOO big a game.

I'm looking foward to F1 2010 holding me over until GT5 finally comes out. Does that count?

Thats what I like about it. :)

I love F1 and i played the hell out of Formula 1 Championship for months. I'll probably get both.

No demo? Really? Hmm, I'm on PS3 and they put out a Dirt 2 and a Grid demo. I want proof that the car doesn't handle like it does in those two games before I buy another Codemasters racer. They're always so pretty looking and polished and nice, but the handling isn't right on a basic level. Fun arcade games, though, but that's no longer what I want.

No demo.

Due to the nature of the game, and its layers of licensed content, it will not be possible to make a cut-down, limited content sample that would serve as a demo for F1 in 2010 within our production deadlines.

Handling wise, wait for the reviews to begin rolling in. Based on the impressions already out there I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Also you can do what I plan to do, go to BlockBuster on release day and rent it.

According to my friend if you get to your local BB right around delivery time (usually 12-2pm local) you should easily be able to nab a copy.

I am, but that's just because it comes out before GT5.:p

It will also offer a completely different experience as F1 2010 focuses on F1 where as GT5 focuses on many different things.

That is what I will be doing; also have stopped online racing with GT5 Prologue in order to 'bank' time for GT5 (keep the wife Happy till November:)):sly:

Definitely looking forward more to F1 than GT.
I'll still pick up GT though.

It will keep me entertained till gt5. Oh and to everyone who says its going to be rubbish i believe both Lewis Hamilton and Adrian Sutil enjoyed it.
