I've seen pictures and videos of other GT3 player's setups and I am just curious to know how much have you roughly spent just to make GT3 drifting that much more realistic.

2 Copies of GT3 at 45.00 each.
2 PS2's at 150.00 each.
2 GT Force PRO Steering Wheel at 150.00 each.
2 Brix II Racing Seats at 300.00 each.
Various materials to build the base for the steerting system and seat base at 30.00.

I've spent an estimated 1320.00 dollars just to drift in GT3. I guess drifting is an expensive sport even in the virtual world. I wonder how much i've spent to drift real cars, I know i've spent over 3,000.00 on tires alone.

I need a cheaper hobby.

How comes you guys bought more than one copy of gt3?

Well I bought a ps2 because of gt3 so I've spent 200 pounds (cos I bought my ps2 second hand it was the special gt3 edition!)

Yeh thats all you really need. But it doesnt hurt to have it that much more realistic :) Also adds to the fun when your friends come over.

Neh , you need 2 DS2 and 1 copy of gt3 and that's everything you need ;)

whoa, you could buy a really cheap real life car to drift (if you get lucky, tat is that prices are rising now adays for 15 year old cars)

Wow. Really? Looks like some of you guys have used more money than i would have ever put on a single game. Well when i saw "Gran Dorifto" by Cudaman. I went out to buy a PS2 = 160. Then found GT3 for about 30 i think. So about 190-ish just to start drifting. :D

I actually own 2 already :P an AE86 Zenki coupe which I got way back in 1997 for 200.00 and an S13 which I got from an uncle for 1,500.00. Both right now are far from being stock.

that's freakin' cool. so you got the 86 before drifting got popular in the states then, huh?

I guess you can say that. But within the circle of friends that I have we've always been into it. We actually got into it because of my uncles. They were into old school Toyota's. We naturally got into them, started attending some meets and got to see drifting in its infancy. Its really taken off as a sport, I remember at one point at had acquired and S12, was ready to drop a CA18DET into it and take the thing drifting. That car hasn't really seen a popluarity raise, I really hope it does, its a fun little car,

1 copy of gt3 - $0.00 (since i borrowed it from my friend and never returned it)
1 ps2 - $200.00
