Reattas are awesome since you could get them with the tube screen monochrome touchscreen computer that controlled everything Buick used briefly in the 80s.

I looked it up and 0-60mph in 9 seconds is way too slow. This thing needs forced induction.

Style-wise it is very nice and the interior is decent for a GM at the time.

I'd still rock one if the price was right.

If thats what you want, have it inspected. If it checks out ok then go for it.

An L67/4t65e-hd swap would bring down that 0-60 time.

GTI, Mazdaspeed 3, Cooper S, any other hot hatch, Cobalt SS etc. Just because the front wheels do the driving doesn't mean it's not fun. If you don't think those cars are fun to drive I don't know what to tell you. You're the only one that called it a sports car anyway.

To the OP, it looks crazy, definitely buy it. 👍

I wasn't calling it a sports car, just responding to someone else's post. Those are all really good cars but I prefer RWD. Hot hatches are pretty fun for daily driving, but you can't have the same fun you can with a RWD car :)

CarreraGT
FWD = no fun. Torque steer, understeer, nose heavy...

There's nothing wrong with FWD in a daily driver, but it doesn't belong in sports cars.

Lol no fun? When I get in my car and I rip it off the line and the wheels are spinning, I consider that fun. Torque amount is near 350 ft. Lbs. Have you ever taken a test drive in a... Lol nevermind but when you buy a FWD car, there is alot you can do to it and it is a hell of a lot of fun. Yeah, RWD is more fun because there is usually more power (like the M5). Theres alot of VWs, Audis and Hondas you can make fast and fun as hell :)

On the last few drives... With the Genesis V6, I was sideways in on corner out of ten... And sometimes when I didn't want to be. With the MX5, about one in eight. With the Mazda2, every other corner, laughing all the way.

And with the Sentra? Everywhere. All the time. I'm planning to borrow it again just to take video...

Who cares what 'society' thinks, if you like the car. This says more about you, than it does about society, or your place therein.

I agree, but the thing you miss out on with FWD is power oversteer. I'm not denying FWD cars can be fun, but it's a different type of fun. To me, there's nothing more fun than balancing a RWD on the throttle. When a FWD car starts to understeer, that's it. In a RWD car, you have the throttle to correct understeer.

Besides, the overall balance of a RWD car feels so much more natural. And as I mentioned earlier, you don't have to deal with torque steer.

I wonder if Carerra has ever driven a rear wheel drive car.

Driven a what?

Not sure why you are getting so defensive, all I did was offer my opinion. And since you are so defensive towards FWD cars, I'm going to assume you haven't spent much time driving RWD cars. If you had, you would know how much fun they are :).

Buy it.
Because obscure car. ;)

But but racecar!

@CarreraGT: He owned a 350Z and drove it for years. He replaced it with a Volvo S60R (300hp AWD) and has now added a Focus SVT to his driveway. I wonder why someone would go from a 350Z to a Focus if RWD is so great. (Hint: It's not when you're talking about a daily driver)

That's just his personal preference, it's got nothing to do with whether FWD or RWD is better. At normal road speeds, most people wouldn't notice the difference anyway! Besides, both the 350Z and SVT are great cars. As I said though, and this is only my personal preference, I would take the 350Z (or 370Z) any day.

That said, I wouldn't say no to one of these... :)
