Features (that are confirmed so far):
1. Over 500 cars to be included. True
2. *New* "career Mode" to simulate a racing driver's pro life. ?
3. Stronger AI. ?
4. More Realistic AI(reacts to what you do while racing and won't just bump into you if you slow down too much while in front of it).?
5. *New* Arcade mode & Career mode have online capability.
6. No Damage. True
7. Used Car shop is back.?
8. *New* Museum mode. I've heard this is true.
9. Courses are remodeled. ?
10. *New* Battery, Oil and Fuel come into racing equation.?
11. *New* engine backfire.?
12. *New* Over Bonnet(Engine Hood) Car View??
13. Racing Mods are back?

True, was confirmed some time ago..
 
Gt4 will contain 1 car, a lada (with bump mapped rust), and 1 track (an oval). The physics have been imported from mario kart. honest.
 
1,2,5,6,7,8,9 are all confirmed there is a high possibilty of stronger AI battery and fuel coming into the game and the return of the racing mods for certain cars.
 
Isn't it true that racing mod. will be back aswell, atleast for some cars?
 
He said visual mods for some cars, not racing mods so it's most likely to be refering to the racing mods but it's not actually confirmed.
 
When he said visual mods he could also be refering to what you can do in the paint shop.
 
True and wheels. But there was also a thing about bodykits a while ago, we were all debating over if that meant adding a spoinler or wing or the full racing mod style kits I'm sure KY mentioned bodykits being in GT4 last year.

I've heard that PD going to imrprove the AI. So I think it's true.
 
I do remember him meantioning bodykits but he said only on select cars.

He is prolly meaning like, for example:

A Nissan R34.
You can Install a R-Tune Nismo kit.
 
12. *New* Over Bonnet(Engine Hood) Car View?? Anyone know about this. This looks really good in Toca driver 2, especially in the E-type.
 
Maybe in replayes like in GT3, but i dont know about ingame

Over the bonnet view has only been seen in replays,
and this has been in all previous Gt.

Dont think we will see any hood view for racing.
Certainley not confirmed at this time.

11 engine back fire. not seen or confirmed.
 
I've wanted a hood view since GT1! It would take no significant effort for them to include it, and it adds a lot to the feedback you get.
 
What I think they could mean by bodykits is that you can buy/win cars with kits installed (like that 350Z Gran Turismo edition).

But as for the hood view, I am all for it, I'm not a big fan of the current bumper cam view, since it feels too arcadey to me. A hood view isn't quite the same as an incar view, but it would be a great compromise, since it is unreasonable to make PD model the interiors for 500+ cars (and they already have to do that for all the convertibles in the game)

With Toca driver 2 they've shadowed out the dash and steering wheel, it seems to work well. They also have just the bonnet view which I'm sure could work with GT4. They have the equivalent of GT's in car view too.
 
Museum mode features:

To celebrate automotive history, GT4 features a new museum aspect that's still under development. The general concept is to have a place where milestone models can be viewed and even learned about, much like visiting a brick-and-mortar museum. Periodic events based on the number of days into play will offer special opportunities to drive these early sports and musclecars. The vehicles for this new portion were developed from studying manufacturer, museum, and private collections, including Jay Leno's.
