Any Japanese guy that can tell about how much a used Nissan Silvia S13, Toyota Chaser or a Nissan C33 Laurel and those kind of old rear wheel drive cars costs in Japan?

EDIT: Forget the above text! this is the car I want! about how much is the cost of this gen of 200sx's or how it is called in Japan?

Give me the year and the model. I can probably find prices in Japanese websites. Used cars are generally cheap in Japan, but taxes and fees amount to quite a bit over there.

year 94-95 s14 silvia

Try this According to this site, there are many 94-95 Silvias going for As low as 40,000 yen(Probably close to U.S. $500), and many of them 200,000 - 300,000 yen. Prices are on the far right(right before the check boxes). It's in ten-thousands, so 40,000 yen would be displayed "4". You should be able to use the currency exchange sites to calculate how much those cars are in your country's currency. :)

the only problem that I'd see is that it would cost about 10 grand to import the damn things over here. Besides, wouldn't americans gripe over the right hand drive and trying to igure out how to read in metrics?

He may be from Sweden, but they've driven on the right side of the road since around 1960.

I don't think it's worth the hassle either. Many import fans don't mind the right-hand drive though.

wow!!! even 300,000 yen for a 94-95 silvia is very cheap over here!!! really, really cheap! but the cost of getting it over here seems to be very expensive anyway so... guess i'll import from Germany or something, thats much cheaper than here as well... not expensive to get it here either since both countries have joined EU and its not so far away so I can drive down with another car and buy it and drive it home :)

EDIT: and they have the wheel on the right side of the car as well. like allomst the rest of the world ;)

wow!!! i can tell its cheaper in japan than here with cars!!! a Skyline GT-R Twin Turbo are cheaper than the most Silvia S14's here!!! i mean thats a HUGE difference!

It might be worth looking around a few British car sites too, as left hand drive cars might be fairly cheap, what with the wheel being on the wrong side for our roads and everything.

Try http://www.autotrader.co.uk/ and see what you can find.

Of course, Britain isn't exactly renowned for cheap car prices, but you never know.

There are so many cool used cars in Japan and 99% of them are "dirt" cheap. However, I live in the U.S. and I don't think they'll just let me drive it around on the streets. The car definitely has to pass the emissions, might even have to match the American safety standards. I know mass-imported Skylines had to. My uncle owns used car business over there, brokering and owns couple of dealers. He used to tell me how he can get the older used cars in good shape for just few hundred bucks, if not lower. Unfortunately, bringing the car to the States and making it "street-legal" here would cost a fortune........ unless you are just gonna use it as a track car. :sly:

that's the main problem with imports. the must come up to american specs, no questions asked. and not just in emissions. my European freinds elsewhere can't get that in their heads, some of em. It's like telling them about the reason americans don't have deisel engines.

I think that's why, also, the majority of Europe gave up...they couldn't meet the american minimums. course, I think they were sending us their "colonial" crap, anyway.

you guys know any more sites where I'm able to import into sweden from japan? wanna have a Skyline R32 GT-R now ;)

A teacher in my school imported a 300ZX for only a few grand in total (about £4000 I think), that was including the car price.

Your best bet is to find a firm that specialises in importing. They might do it alot cheaper than you can privatley.

[EDIT] Aha! You can http://vehiclesales.jicconline.co.uk/Nissan_300_For_Sale.htm
Now you just need to find a dealer with one on order or willing to find one for you.

[EDIT2] NISSAN SILVIA S13 180SX 2.0 Turbo, Manual, 57,039 miles, Pearl White. Warranty mileage, electric windows, electric folding mirrors, Central locking, Stereo, A/C, PAS, Alloys, Sport exhaust, Induction kit, Adjustable suspension, Turbo boost gauge, Turbo timer, Dump valve, Strut brace, Stunning S13 in Very good condition! £4,995

Again import into Britain, but it shows it's available, quite cheap aswell.
