How rare are Group C cars?

I'm a level 37 in A-spec and 40 in b-spec and never once have a found a "group C" car in my UCD. The only two I currently own are the Toyota Minolta and the Mazda 787B. I won the Toyota and bought the Mazda because it is available in premium dealership.

I really want a Nissan R89C more than any of the others but would gladly purchase the R92C, Merc Sauber, and Peugeot 905 if I could find them.

Seems like LMP cars come up often in the UCD. Why no group C cars?
 
you can get birthday tickets if you want them that bad, i havent seen any group c race cars but i got the peugeot 905 and R92cP out if a 92 ticket

On a 10 scale I'd place them at around 7-8. But yes, they are with the rarer ones to find. Recycling the UCD helps.
 
I've never tried the birthday ticket trick. I'll have to read up on it. My birth year is 1972 which has to be the worst year for cars in the game. Only 2 available.... '72 Fiat 500, and a '72 Honda mini van of some sort :(

Whats the best way to recycle the UCD? Quickest way I found was to go into the practice menu and load a track, then back out. Is there a quicker way?
 
The quickest way to recycle it is to go into license tests and skip to the next one 5 times (each one counts as a day in-game) and when you go back to the UCD the whole list will have refreshed

It's faster when you start ANY race, since you simply can exit it and restart. This not possible with the licence tests, as you have to load the next one. If you can start over any licence test again, and recycling works too, then consider my post as useless :lol:
 
What day are you at?

Strangely enough, I haven't noticed such rarity with Group C class cars in general. I see them in the UCD once in awhile. I think starting to watch the UCD daily is why I got my Nissan R92CP.
 
The Jaguar XJR-9 was in the OCD probably a month ago (right around the time the 1M Cr. limit was put in place). I've purchased the Sauber C9, R89C and Speed 8 all since then in the UCD. They'll show up eventually, just hang in there.
 
For me, I saw just a few at the beginning to my actual progress, but now having approximately 7,5k ingame-days behind me, I've seen them all :)
 
I watch the UCD like a hawk and I just don't see them. Not sure why.

I was reading about the birthday gift hack but wouldn't the 1mil trading limit now stop the ability to trade a 3.8million dollar R89C to my main account?

I'll have to try the UCD refresh using the licencing method. Thanks for the tip.

No, because you are sending a ticket that "COULD" open up a car like 89 B-day ticket. Not actually sending the car as a gift.

It's amazing how many people think this cycles the UCD. Only completely exiting a race and starting again starts a new game day. The black screen with the progress bar has to come up for a new game day to register. The quickest way to do this is in the license tests.

Sorry mate, but that's WRONG! What do you think did I do the last approximately 5k days ingame to get my NSX-R Proto racecar? At least when you enter the UCD and see that there is a blinging "NEW" next to each car, you know it worked somehow 💡

4. Repeat 4 times

After your 5th attempt, exit completely and look into the UCD. This is faster than the licence thingy. Just give it a try 👍
 
Using the license revolving door I'm able to reload all 30 cars in the UCD in around 4 1/2 minutes from starting to load the 1st license to exiting the 5th license and opening up the UCD.

Loading a race, exiting and then reloading the same race 5 times take how long?

The licenses don't work the same way, i.e., you must exit and reload (as in "see the loading bar"). But regarding regular a-spec races, yes, the above is true. I have been rubberband grinding/refreshing for a few days now trying for the elusive 2J. I set my I-pod timer for 18 minutes, start the race, and when the timer goes off I unlock the enter button on the keyboard. When that race ends I'm 350K richer and have a totally refreshed UCD. But still no 2J. Other than that I have all of the Class C cars. You just have to wait 'til they appear.

IMO the group-C cars aren't rarer than the LMP cars, there are just less group-C cars! The R89C, Sauber Mercedes, the R92 and the Toyota 88C-V. There are at least twice as many LMP'S in then UCD

The first one takes about 40 seconds to start (from the menu) then about 10 seconds for each of the others.

In race restarts dont go down as days therefor you need to do that 40 sec restart for a new day.

No you don't, check it out before you post again (as i have done). You just click exit during the race and start the race at the next menu you come to. It takes about 10 seconds.

Ah screw it, I should start the whole game all over again and benefit from all this experience gained out of my first run-through :lol:

Where does the "group c" term come from?

OP, I have some birthday tickes, if you tell me what year you are looking for I can see if I have one.
