I live in Australia, so the prices might be different for other regions(i really dont know) but are the prices of the cars in real life that of which they are in the game..

Edit: cool thanks for the welcome. The reason I truely asked was to figure out what prices I should go with when i get my first car(second hand), and diddent want to be ripped.

I don't really think so. The credits roughly - and I mean very roughly - equate to US dollars for the new cars, but even then there are some serious variations. They're mostly intended to reflect relative values, rather than to be anything specific.

Welcome to GTPlanet, by the way.

WAY off for sure... especially sellin the car... 2nd hand value for a 0 mile brand new car is peanuts... less then half WTF?!?

not to mention the fact that the "tuning" section has a retarded pricing scheme... somethings are WAY to expensive and others are pretty dirt cheap...

paying the price of the car in tires.. or 2x the value of the car for a turbo isn't realistic at all

and the fact that they add no resale value to the car is BS also

Some are way off. A 2000 Cobra R costs 55,000 in real life, but in the game it costs 31,000.

I beleive its $55,000 when everthing is on it.

$31,000 for bone stock.

I was going to say that the prices are roughly correct for many cars in the UK - although there are some startling differences...

Some are a little questionable, but of course the game was made three years ago, so you can't really have a say at it now, at least I could not. Some are not even for sale, I doubt the Castrol Mugen NSX is for sale, especially at $1,250,000...but expect the unexpected sometimes. :sly:

Welcome Snowman, I would not compare gt3 prices as a good guide to used car values in Australia. Spend a lot of time doing research on the model of car you want and get a feel for how much they should cost.
I have a feeling you want something more than a 10 year old Falcon or Commodore.

Aww man, that's what I'm going to get :(

Of course I need something big and reliable to move my drumkit around. I can't really fit a bass drum in the back of an MGB.

I hate the car and parts prices, it's definatly not worth selling anything either. Just hope second hand cars make a return to GT 4 so I can make some Arsene Wenger type shrewd purchases.

Sorry, I am aussie, but i am aware of the rivalry between GM(Chevrolet) and Ford in the states. GM, being the parent company for Holden, means that this rivalry is the origin of the one that we get here between Holden and Ford.
