i have been invited to become a games editor. in my case this means i would add car settings to the gt4 game guide.

problem is that i am an html idiot-nono-fool-untechnician. apparently nobody can tell me in two lines what to do.

it's the car settings page to which i want to contribute. there are a number of cars already filled in, eg for audi i want to add an rs4 setup.
for instance: duck made an entrance for the rs6 and it looks like this:

htp://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1949588&postcount=90 Audi RS 6] - Settings by htp://www.gtplanet.net/forum/member.php?u=58560 Duċk

scary to me ... HELP! please tell me what to do to add a setup for a car in the car list.

thanks!

Ok, you start with this: [

Then, right after the [, you put the link of where the set-up is there. Then you put the name of the car and ] after. So example...

[https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1949588&postcount=90 Audi RS 6]

Then, you put the following after:

- Settings by [

Then, put the link to the member's profile after the [.

Then, add the name of the member who created the set-up after the link, then put ] at the end. Example...

[https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1949588&postcount=90 Audi RS 6] - Settings by [https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/member.php?u=58560 Duċk]

And there you go. :)

duck, you helped me out bigtime. my rs4 (EDIT: actual) setup is on the list now.
GT, thanks for the reply but this kind of text -as a code nitwit- makes me feel stupid.
cheers guys.

Another thing that you may find useful is the Sandbox. You can feel free to edit that page as much as you want and play around with formatting and text as it is not linked from anywhere. It can be a great place to test out different tags and layouts without feeling intimidated or having to worry about making a mistake.
