In Tier 4, Works vs. Supervcars, you have to beat a lap time of 1:50:000 in the first race at Autopolis GP for one of the bonus stars. Which car can beat this time? I have tried the Works Murcielago (20,99), the Zonda R (20,50) and the Works Corvette (20,00). The best I can do is a 1:52:000 with the Zonda R and manual transmission. Do you recommend a set up (Tuning) for top speed or cornering?

I can easily beat 1:50 but it was with the Aston Martin DBR9 Bonus car (1:46) which is rated at 18.5 or a Maserati MC12 (20.0). You might want to try a AWD R35 or a Porsche 911 GT2 with a few simple power upgrades. I find that having a good grip in the final climb to make a huge difference, more so than having a lot of horsepower.

The Aston Martin DBR9 can even do times below 1:40:000, but it does not help me. Unlike mastering corners, you have to do the fast lap during the race. It's not possible to do it elsewhere (Quick Race). This means you have to use the cars you own. And you can't buy the DBR9 or the Maserati MC12.

I just ran Autopolis on Quick race with 4 opponents in the Porsche GT2 and posted a 1'50.033". I don't consider myself very talented as a driver so I'm sure it's quite possible in that car.

Two things though... One obviously you've got to get the lead as soon as possible and for some reason the AI cars are 🤬 on this track.

Two the Porsche does have the bouncing problem although Terronium's tuning of the GT2 does minimize it. There are a couple of bouncy patches that will throw you off until you figure out how to get through them.

The key to a good time on this track is smoothness (actually it's the key on most tracks), no spinning of tires or drifting through corners as that eats time. It's really a rather fun track once you get a handle on the bumpy areas.

Good Luck! :)

Oh, by the way.. my GT2 isn't even upgraded fully. It's got Stg III Tires, Suspension, Engine & Drivetrain and weight reduction.

Apparently the Corvette Z06 - Works converted is also a good car to use. With the Z06 tune just put up today I ran several 1:43 laps with the best being 143.09. The torque on that Vette is monstrous though and you really have to feather the throttle. I wound up facing backwards on one lap! :ouch:

But the Vette isn't as susceptible to the bouncing as the Porsche is so it might be a better choice.

I didn't suggest the DBR9 or the MC12, it's just that I beat 1:50 quite easily with those cars. If you don't want too much challenge, you can try the Bugatti Veryon or the Koenigsegg CCX. I did a 1:50.8 with the latter quite easily and had I try harder sub !:50 is within my grasp. BTW, I'm using G25 wheel.

Zonda R + custom tuning. It was very close, 1:49:8XX. The main problem is spinning wheels in the uphill sections. I didn't try out the Porsche GT2.

GTR Works Nissan easily beats the 1:50 and drives like a dream. Dont recall the car rating but I continue to beat supercars with it on that track. No great top speed attained but makes up ground in the corners.
