How to collaborate with the GUIDES section?

Hi guys. I've been always checking the GUIDES section for the last years, specially for some soundtracks or car and track lists, and I've seen I could add some info that is not featured on those real good guides.

I've complete an account on the guides system, and I've put my account name on the section that my profile brings to type it in order to get a editor badge? (excuse me but after do it I didn't see any change, explain me what happens with that option if possible).

My general question is: how could I collaborate?, because I have the info but I don't know how to add it. Seems to be that it's like the wikipedia system or so, but I've never used things like this and the first time that I was going to add something I saw the historial of the previous edits by other users, so I was afraid of damage their previous works...

I was looking for any kind of tutorial or help section but I couldn't find anything. There's any kind of introduction thing in order to know how to work with it or I just can touch all in order to know how it works because it's protected?

Just press the "Edit" tab and add to what is there, there's a few cool commands you can make, and I'm sure there's a ton of wiki tutorials on the 'net.

Also, the guide editor badge was removed back when GTP8 came out, IIRC.

Thanks, didn't knew that all those interface worked like the same one, I've found many tutorials on the net yeah. We should add as much as we can because unfortunately even the Wikipedia has more info about GT series than us on our Guides, we should improve that :)

I'm taking the Soundtracks zone by now, because I own 90% of the Soundtracks of GT series so I think I could support a bit of info about those discs.

You're one of the editors, and you left a note on the GT5P guide asking for a comment for those who edit something. So I should comment what I edit or add there right?, I'll to do my best, see you on the guides 👍

EDIT: I've only do a few things, nothing important, just checking the format and so on but I've doubts about the copyright thing, because on the wiki says you shouldn't submit copyrighted material, and as copyrighted material I just can think of books, magazines and so on. But check what I'm working on (https://www.gtplanet.net/guides/index.php/Gran_Turismo_2_:_Soundtrack), it contains exact text from the discs credits and so on (name of producers, labels, etc.. in order to credit artists and composers). Do you think this is not legal and I should stop or it's totally normal and legal?, there's a thin line on all those copyrighted things, and at the end of the day we are talking about GT (copyrighted games), so...

Since you are publishing the credits themselves as the information, it should be fine. It would be a problem if you were publishing the music - the actual copyrighted material. Thanks for contributing!

The editor badge does not exist anymore. It also put a little link to your wiki User page.

Also, do not type out the lyrics for a song; re-publishing lyrics is also a copyright violation.

But...any help to the wiki is appreciated.

You may have already seen it, but the help page can explain most formatting issues. Also, the "History" tab on each entry that you pointed out (which shows previous contributions from other users) cannot be altered. This gives you a certain degree of freedom to edit information and make formatting changes without concern to the loss of important data.

Finally, I must take full responsibility for your confusion over the Editor Badge. :O As others have explained, it was a small badge below your avatar that linked to your User: page on the Wiki. When I updated the site earlier this year, I dropped the badges but unfortunately forgot to remove that field from user's account information! I am surprised someone has not pointed this out sooner, but it should be removed now to avoid any further questions.
