Hi. I need to connect a heart rate sensor to my computer in order to use the data for an interactive installation I’m building. The heart sensor comes as a watch. Does any one have an idea if it is possible, how to do it or maybe where i can find information? Thanks.

Do you want your pc to monitor your heart rate? I couldn't quite decide if that was the case, or that you wanted to monitor the pc's heart rate (which would be impossible due to no pulse).

What exactly do you want to do here. If you are trying to hook up a heart rate monitor to a computer, I think you might be dreaming. I am pretty sure that would be impossible.

soory for not answering before. I am trying to connect the small watch like lcd that shows my heart rate to the computer - to collect the data, or just the image from the heart rate minitor. If not maybe you know of a way to receive the RF from the sensor itself. thanks.

Well, I'd say that unless the heart rate monitor was designed to provide input for your PC, you are out of luck trying to send information to the PC.

See, there has to be software and hardware support for what you're trying to do. You can't just expect something to work, unless you have the equipment to do it with.

Yeah, toyomatt is right. I looked on the internet and it is possible to get heart rate monitors that work on the computer. My best guess would be to get your webcam and point it at the heart rate monitor if you want to be able to see it from far away or something.
