Hi,
I can't find the thread (I hope it was on this board) that explained how to copy a car to a new mem card and then copy it back to the main mem card so that I can have two of this one car. I want to do this so that I can make one for rally and one for street without having to keep loading and reloading settings.

If someone remembers where the thread or write up is, can you please point me to it.
I would also appreciate any other help with this.

Cheers

this can't be done....

you can copy a complete save from one memory card to another using your PS2s browser but in order to copy a car from one card to another you have to have a game save on both cards and then TRADE a car from one to the other. This costs money however and is usually the price the car would normally cost at the dealer (the upgrades are free).

if you have a rally car on one card and you want to copy it to another you have to trade it and regadless of the 'sale price' it will still cost you 300,000-500,000 (car dependant) to perform this function.

so if you want two copies of the same car...just trade it back again.

hope that helps....

welcome to GTP :)

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but this seemed most similar to what I wanted to do. Played through most of GT3 last year, only have a few events left to do in the Professional League (Vitz, among others), but I've been interested in getting into the game again.

What I want to do is trade the necessary cars for the different events and my F-1 cars to a new memory card so I can re-race everything. Am I going to need to build up a ton of money on my new game, or can I use the money I have on my current game to make the trade?

I know, I know, what's the challenge of taking an F687/S out on a Beginner League event? I'm not looking for a challenge, I'm looking for fun! *lol*

However, to make it up, I'm attempting to get golds in the License tests. So far, I'm working on the B license, but that last test is kicking my butt.

Oh, well, if all else fails, I suppose I can go back and try my hand at GT2. Who knew I was missing all this gaming goodness! :)

just do time trials and get the esperante GT1 , or get mx5 and run the enduro in it and you may win an f1 like that, my 4th car was a f1 from doin excatly that

You can easily just buy a car you currently own using the trade section. It a very easy cheat but you spend your money buying the same car. And you only need 1 memory card to do this. If necessary I can make a video showing how to do it.
I buy my own cars all the time when I am making hybrids. I fill the first 10 or 20 slots up with the same car then hybrid them that way I know right away which ones are the hybrids. 👍

Kojak: You will have to have quite some money in your new game to do that. I suggest to get GTC2002, complete 100% (takes about 2 hours), and one of the prizes is also 10.000.000Cr for GT3. Load that into your new game and you'll have the best possible start and can use that money, to buy cars (trade) from your other gamesave from second memory card.
