How to do you prefer to view your garage?

Which view do you find easiest to choose cars from the garage?
Most of the time I stick with the default of small thumbnails with descriptions.
But since I have been doing less racing that requires me to know the car specs and more just finding a car I want to have fun with, I'm starting to use the 2-wide large image view.

And you?
 
I didn't even know we could change it. wow I really gotta start looking at the options and menu more.
 
Yeah, I only discovered this a couple weeks ago.
Just go to the listing of cars and when you are over a car, the button list at the bottom shows you hints.
X to open
^ for a very handy drop menu
[] to change the menu grouping

I have so many damn cars its easiest to just leave it on default, then modify my search if I'm looking for something in particular.

I will have a look, now I know there are options. :)
 
I find default the best for me. Plus I have heard a rumour that people using the big thumbnails are having problems with the pictures disappearing, which can be painstakingly reloaded one by one. I have around 550 cars and I dont want to have to do that for every individual car.

I cant prove any of the above, so interpret that as you want. I dont want to take any chances so I'm avoiding the big thumbnails for now.
 
I have seen thumbnails disappear in all the different views.
Luckily there is the rebuild function.
And lucky for me, it's only shown up for a few at a time.
If I had to go through 700+ cars, I would just start using the name only, no picture option!
 
One thing I'd like to see would be a consistent Garage View.. Why when I go into arcade mode is the Garage mode completely different! and why only 100 favourites? try finding one car amongst 100 favourites, it takes an age!! there must be a better interface! or am I missing something :) (very probably :))
 
I have never tried to change it, does it stay that way or do you have to change to the way you like it every time you go into it? I remember bieng able to sort my garage in GT4, but every time I would leave and come back it would be back at default.
 
well I answered my own question, of course what was I doing thinking that PD would actually change anything for GT5. The method of sorting defaults back everytime you re enter your garage. Sorting=FAIL.:crazy:
 
to be able to change the view would be good, a default list + icons for quick selecting when you want to move stuff about or sell the crap you win
and a glamour mode where you can have a full screen shot of your garage like its a proper car collection, you can zoom in and out and move around the garage to veiw different cars or sections, the sections could be rearanged in the glamour mode by selecting the way they are displayed, colour, age, most driven by you, country, drive etc

and along the back wall a frigging huge trophy cabinate
 
there were better garage views in previous gt's

id like to select from ff fr mr and other seperatley

then select another to filter between bhp ranges 2-300 3-400 etc
