So I've been looking for a game called Le Mans for a long time but could not find it. One day, somebody I know came up a with a link to what appeared to be a conversion of the PSX game "Le Mans 24 Houres".

Everything works perfectly, however, out of all the game modes, two modes keep exiting back to Windows: Championship mode and the 24 Houres mode.

The game exists to Windows when everything was done loading, it does not give me an ERROR message or anything.

The game itself is weird, it's basically just a .exe file which I do not need to install. I double-click it, it extracts itself and the game starts.

My question is therefor, is there a solution to this problem? Might the problem be fixed when I burn the .exe file onto a CD?

Thanks in advance,

Most games can be fixed with the latest drivers. Make sure you system is completely updated with all of the latest drivers for your components. This includes CPU, GPU, mother board, etc... If after all components are updated and you're still having issues, check with the manufacturer of the game to see if there are any known incompatibility issues.

Good luck.

Well, I got a fast PC and the game's old so I don't think that'd be it.

I can complete the Challenges, practice, time trials and stuff but only Championship and 24 Hours has it so it's a little :grumpy:

Being an older game, I wonder if you need to run it in "95 Compatibility Mode".

It sounds to me like the file might be corrupt. If that's the case, what's going on makes sense, as the game would be trying to load whatever file is missing or corrupt, and simply shutting itself off when it can't find it.
