How to get a good traction on RWD?

I got a 1000+hp supra, and on some turns, or lets say most of them, the car comes into a slide, or drift. and let others pass me. I bought racing tires, and they dont help much. I am not satisfied with it. I got TCR and other options ON. Any other help?

turn the tsc right up if ya cant race it properly :/

also the other one (stability control), turn that right up too.

then turn them down bit by bit till you are comfy with the settings.
(I have myn turned right down.. but I am ubber driver :p)

also adjust the suspension stiffer in the rear (and front too if ya like), and add camber.

if you're like me, and would rather choke on a dead rat than let some mechanism help you drive the car, you could try using an analog controller and not nailing the gas full-time. also, you can adjust the downforce on some cars, as well as adjusting the damper (i think that's it).

The Supra has fairly narrow tires, and unfortunately in GT3 you cant adjust wheel or tire size at all. The Supra will have major oversteer with as little as 500hp. Also, the Supra has sequential twin-turbos which means that there is a big one for high roms and a little one for low rpms. With stage 4 turbo's the smaller turbo gives WAY too much torque at low rpms, so getting good exit speed is very difficult. Low rpm torque is a major detriment in racing (as opposed to a street car) so unfortunately the Supra doesnt have that much potential in GT3

Some cars that are actually quite tame with 1,000hp are the Ruf RGT and Lotus Esprit V8, you cant lose with either car, and the Lotus is marginally faster (atleast with my setup)

Try those 2 and you will see how much refinement those cars have had in comparison to a Supra.

If u are an ubber driver like me then corners are where u overtake, not get overtaken :p ;)

just adjust ur settings and go easy on the corners.... smooth is important so try braking earlier. :)
and detune that beast... you dont need 1000+ hp for gods sake!!!

Yah, good call. My Lotus is FASTER (around a race course) with 575hp than it is with 670hp

Same with my Ruf 3400S, it is faster with 520hp than it was with 610hp.

Hey, I just broke 1,000 miles on my Ruf 3400S about 10 minutes ago. What a wonderful car.

since i am low on cash, i took stage 4 turbo, to race on test track in amateur league. supra is realy nice, i dont usualy nail the gas on corners, i got analog controller, so i controll the gas. i own many races with it, its a great car. but some times mazda rx-7 nails me on corners

If you are absolutely set on keeping your insane horsepower...a higher LSD setting of Torque and Accel will help you out some but still, if you have 1000hp and no downforce you're going to have some problems no matter what...I personally would settle for something under 700...

especially in a Supra...they've got oversteer under any circumstances. not as bad as an Esprit, mind you, but still bad.

If it weren't for tire wear...You could actually easily beat the All Japan GT with only 650hp...Now with that...The races against NON-GT cars are much simpler...so if you could beat GT cars with 650...what could you get away with on non-race cars?

maybe, but you didnt need 1000 hp.... just my opinion

and you should have bought the rx7 rz instead, it handles better :)

ever thought of the Skylines? then you'd be experiencing the other end...understeer :D!
really, they're easier to fix than Supras, and you'd still get to keep your 1000+bhp and it'd look better :).

The Esprit oversteers, predictably, and that is what it was designed to do. It oversteers with grip, that is the main difference between it and a peice of crap car.

Utilising oversteer to get insane exit speeds is the reason the MR's are probably the fastest cars of all. You want to get on the gas as soon as possible. and once you get the hang of it you know when to lay on the throttle and the car will steer around the turn and you will be leaving everyone in the dust.

Oh and BTW, Here are some of my high mileage cars.

Esprit: 1,700

RGT: 1,300

3400S: 1,000

Corvette Z06: 900

Miata: 800

V12 Vanquish: 500

The rest are extremely lower than that. I have some other race cars with more miles. i.e. F094/S has 1,500 and my EScudo has over 2,000 because I always do the rubber band trick on Speedway endurance.

My Esprit is capable of completing ALL of Pro, except for races it isnt eligible for.

If I tune my Esprit to 1,000hp, I have set it up so nicely that TCS flashes for all of 1st gear and for like 2 seconds in 2nd gear. That is the amount of grip the car has.

Guys, i know this sounds silly, what is the fastest way to earn money? I race in amateur league on test tracks, and it gives me 25 k for 4-10 laps, thats just waste of time. any better way's?

Depends on how good you are, but doing the Amateur League European Championship will get you 350,000 cr if you do the first 4 races and win the Vertigo. Save after race 4 and skip out of the last one until you get the Verigo.

PS This is officially the fastest and easiest way to earn money in GT3.

Sadly, in GT3, the only way you can keep getting cars to sell for that good cash is through a race series which can be anywhere from 5-10 races...So, money comes slowly when you first get started.

Wow, thanks for the heads up!

Just drop the turbo kit...you could still easily win that series without it, just use the stock turbos.
