Here is how to get infinite money in GT6, and NOT just a one-off 20 million Credits that IGN has been humbly and repressively preaching, for example... These are the steps:

1) When you first get the game, and update it to Version 1.01 or greater, accept the one-time 'gift voucher' for theMercedes-Benz AMG Vision GTcar, under the "Vision GT" sub-section of the "Cars" section. This should give you the car for free.

NOTE: THIS GLITCH WILL ALSO WORK IF YOU PURCHASE THE CAR FOR 1 MILLION CREDITS, EVEN IF YOU HAVE MADE PROGRESS IN THE GAME. YOU COULD EVEN DO THIS AFTER THE PLATINUM TROPHY.

2) Once you have saved your data, making sure you do have the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision GT car in your garage, quit the game.

3)Now go to "Game Data Utility", and NOT "Saved Data Utility (PS3)".

4)Delete Gran Turismo 6 update Version 1.01 (or higher). You want to basically get your game back to Version 1.00, the original Version. This file should be ~1,200MB+, and not the other file, which is ~400MB.

5)Now go back to Gran Turismo 6, and decline any notification you get to update the game (by pressing O on your controller), and go back to your in-game garage. Stay signed out of PSN from now on.

6)You should now see a car entitled "[2055]". If you view it, you can then go to sell it. It SHOULD SAY "Sale Price: 333,993, 856 Cr". Because the Credits Cap in Version 1.00 is 20 million, you willonlyhave 20 million once you do sell the car. However...

7)Now quit the game; you may automatically be logged back into PSN. Immediately, re-enter the game again. So you just quit and enter the game here, that’s all. NOW you re-update the game again, to its maximum version.Don't worry; at the time of writing this, where the maximum Version is 1.01, I highly doubt any additional updates will make this glitch not work, as it is the original, UNCHANGEABLE version of Gran Turismo 6 that allows this to occur (Version 1.00). However, for those that are reading this when the maximum/most current version is beyond Version 1.01, JUST download the updates up to when Version 1.01 installs. You can then click O to decline all the other updates, and proceed with just Version 1.01.

8) Now, this is the important bit. Once you have updated the game to Version 1.01, go and purchase 20 Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision GT cars. Yes, TWENTY of them. Spend all of your 20 million Credits on them. Make sure you save your game.

9) Next, quit the game once again and go to "Game Data Utility", to then delete all Gran Turismo 6 updates AGAIN, just as you did in Step 4.

10) Now go back to the game. You should now see 20 cars entitled “[2055]”. Each of these gives you 20 million Credits!

11) Sell one of them, AND ONLY ONE OF THEM. You will now have 20 million Credits again!

12) Now spend all of your Credits until you run out. You can then keep on selling your “[2055]” cars, every time you use up all of your 20 million Credits you got from the LAST CAR...

13) Once you have sold 400 million Credits worth of Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision GT cars/have repeated this process 20 times, make sure you save at least 1 million Credits. You would have spent ~379,000,000 Credits on cars at this point...

14) Now quit the game, re-update the game to the latest version (or only Version 1.01, for those of you reading well into the future; it’s up to you), and repeat EVERYTHING I have told you, using the 1 million Credits you saved, FROM Step 1 again.

ENJOY THIS GLITCH. COMMENT BELOW. SPREAD THIS INFORMATION, AND THIS POST.

Plus it's not infinite, infinite would suggest that if you had 20,000,000 and spent that amount on one car then your credits would still remain at that amount, regardless of how many purchases you made or what version you are running without having to interupt your game to do the glitch ever again.

Link to thread explaining how so, please?

Spent ages making this...

Be prepared for a long read, it has nearly 2000 replies.

Well it's a recursive algorithm, it ends with repeat everything from step 1 again, and with an expansive progression. It could be argued that it does in fact give you infinite credits although not all of them at once (which would crash the PS3 anyway).
