Hey guys, so I started playing GT5 yesterday and I only have 13 cars, dlc cars, I have 1 car not from dlc though. So yeah how do I get more cars like AE86 Sprinter, and all those good old vintage cars ? Most of them arent in the dealership nor ucd. So yeah anyone know?

You also win cars when you complete a series.

Lets say you take your fastest car and run in the first A Spec races, when you complete that series and exit to the main screen you get a car.

Edit: in the GT5 section there is a 'Stickie', read this and look for the 'Prize Car List'

Do the licence tests. You get a car for bronze, silver & gold in each test series plus you gain some driving experience. The main thing is to have fun your way. 👍:)

You can also get cars from a PS3 Friend - As a gift - However you can't get all cars that way.

Gifting is limited to cars worth under 1,000,000 Credits

You can get cars via a prize car ticket - And if they are under this credit threshold then they can be gifted.

You can also get Level and Year tickets... these are free from restriction - and can be traded freely - Yearly tickets are limited to your own birthday (Year) Level tickets come in flavours from Level 0 all the way to Level 24 - And match up to the level of the car... a F1 Ferrari or a Formula GT car is Level 24 - Level 23 are the better LeMans Prototype cars...

You canalso get themed Car tickets - Rally Base model, Rally Modern day - Historic Rally cars. Modern Muscle cars, Muscle cars -

These tickets when cashed will reveal a random car from that list.

A 1000 Ticket will give you a random car... I've had very good (R8 Audi LMP car) to very ordinary (Mazda Demio)

Gifting is limited to one gift per 24 hour cycle- the cycle starts/end at Midnight GMT (London England-land) So about 8am in the Republic of California.

If you are after a certain car I would look at the MASTER CAR LIST for the UCD - that relates to your game day - so you can plan how long a desired car will take before it turns up in you UCD.

Happy Motoring

Time trials don't advance the days - but single races will advance one day (6 new cars) and push the oldest days cars off the list. (I view my list in date order, not car value)

So be aware some championship will take more than 5 days... so you could miss a couple of days of cars...

You can view your game days when you are looking at you GT5 save - Tells you game day and current car and maybe your current credits as well as the time stamp of when you saved.

Seasonal event. You will get tons of cr. ($$)
With tons of $, you can get some very nice cars.
Cars in Online Dealership are currently 50% off for x-mas.

If you have the special stage route X dlc after every speed test you do the UCD changes like after a race.

Sorry, but I think there is a little miss-information in this thread.

The UCD does not completely refresh each time you do a race. The UCd works like this...

The UCD holds 30 cars. Each time the in game date advances by 1 day (check the upper right corner of the home screen), the bottom six cars in the UCD are removed, and six new cars are added to the top. So, in order to completely refresh the UCD, you need to advance the game by five days.

There are a number of different in game triggers that cause the in game date to advance. These triggers include doing races, doing license tests, entering online lobbies, and maybe one or two others that I can't think of right now.

The fastest way to refresh the UCD is like this:

Load any license test. Once the loading is finished, enter the actual test. Press START, and exit the test back to the test menu. Re-enter the test, START, exit, repeat. Do this a total of five times (6 cars refresh each time, 5x6=30, hence you do this process 5 times to completely refresh the UCD). Once you have done the process 5 times, exit out of the license test back to the home menu, and check the UCD. You should see 30 new cars in the UCD. By following this process, you can completely refresh the UCD in about 5-10 minutes.

So, check the UCD for the cars you are looking for, the go back to the license test, load, enter/exit 5 times, exit to home screen, check UCD...rinse and repeat to your hearts content :)

Welcome to GT5.

Make a B-Spec buddy and get them to remote race your drivers.

Save up a load on each guy, get your 200% login bonus and collect the $$$'s.

You'll also hit B level 40 in no time.

I raced for a month with the same car, a CELICA GT-R (ST183, 4WS), which got better (More upgraded.) as I went on. Yes I won other cars, but didn't use one until the race conditions demanded I change cars. I loved that car!

On the topic of "gifting" cars to friends. I gave a Caterham Fireblade to someone...and now, for some odd reason, my friends won't show up when I try to give them a car. EVERY car I've tried is under 500,000 Cr. When I click on the icon to "give to friend" a big grey box appears that normally have my friends listed, but now....nothing...just that little stop watch timer that keeps spinning. I let it spin for 2 hrs the other day and it never pulled up my friends onto the list. If anyone can help with this I have ALOT of cars I can give for your help....hopefully.

Sounds like an internet connection problem or a damaged disc.

I don't know. My disk surface looks ok. Never been out of the case only to put into the PS3. Never dropped it or had it in rough temperatures. Everything else with gameplay seems normal as in it doesn't seem like a data loss error. It's just strange that they show up on my friends list on PSN, but not in GT5 itself. They used to.
