How to get more smoke! (info, not a question)

my car has broken down and are at service until tuesday so i got some time over...

i was playing around with my Seven when noticed this... in replay mode (photo drive). third gear, full throttle+nos, full brake = burnout

first, this pic is at 1x speed


the same burnout at 3x speed (press L3)


it might be hard to use this on drifts e.t.c. but i haven't tested. please try some and post your pics.

and use imageshack please! i'm begging you! no big pics!

yeah this burnout lasted for almost a minute, when it comes to drift it looks really good for about a second...
 
I use the packed gravel next to the racing surface, Laguna Seca has the best. I'll have to try to use the accelerated time, Thanks for the tip.

Pictures look good, seems like a lot more "smoke" than normal. But just seems odd to see the smoke a brownish color instead of the normal grey. Good idea though, might try it for a couple pictures and play with some settings. Could work for black and white photos. 👍
 
Yeah I figured that out awhile ago, not too hard to catch a drift with a trail of smoke when you stretch out your drifts... ;)

 
For all you people that have photoshop, you can use the dodge tool (set to highlights) to bring out the smoke and make it brighter/more noticeable.

The first is what the AI seems to do a lot on laguna seca. They go down the corkscrew, cut in close on the left hander and then clip the grass on the right hand side, and then they slide. Looks like he wants to go the other way though. And the little Lotus? Yes, I got that smoke, yes I got that smoke going backwards, no I wasnt trying to get that smoke. I was trying to get a pic of two cars smashing head on. But I could never aim at the AI cars just right. But when you bounce back the amount of smoke you billow is quite good.
