I dont know, but sometimes I get ads all of a sudden when browsing the internet. Then, when I press ctrl-alt + delete and take a look at the menu, there is one program named "Ne" that always appears there no matter how many times I close it.

So I was wondering, how do you get rid of adwares or molesting programs like those.

i have the same problem, since i've searched and can't find it root, when i boot up my comp i close out all unecessary programs with crl-alt-del and it closes whatever program that is

You didn't know of Ad-aware?! It is possibly the best adware removal tool available. If you use P2P applicatoins (eg: Kazaa) then you should definately have this porgrma installed on your machine.

...We can't accuse you of not searching first!

try using AdAware. It's free, and it searches your ram and harddrives for adware.

Spybot Search and Destroy is another good spyware remover.

Five years later, I still have no such threats to my computers; just update both "definitions" or "filters" every month or so.

I also recommend using HijackThis! which is free software, but it should be used with caution: A quick line-by-line search with the Results + Google = Answers.

More often than not, HijackThis! finds stuff legitimate software companies use during the start-up process, and you should make the decison to move, rename, or delete the files and/or processes. It also does not install itself into the registry nor take up memory when not used. I only have to run it about once a month, or if something is suspect.

Of course, the biggest places you'll come across spyware/malware is from warez sites; you have to imagine these guys are going to create all the new hazards that come with your ***cough*** 10,000-day-free trial ***cough*** before they're well-known.
