Firstly I may need to point out I have an Acer Aspire laptop. And basically I have managed to turn off the scroll function on the touchpad, I've done it before I think and managed to get it back.
But I can't seem to do it this time, how do I get it back?? It's a pain in the ass without it :(

Which one? I have the 8930G and I think you need to go to the Acer Bio Protection AAV (a small icon on the toolbar that looks like a finger). Right click on the icon to and select system settings. You will be prompted to give your fingerprint if you have set one. Once you have done that, go to Settings (cog icon) on the left hand side and tick the box "enable sliding panel". Hope this helps.

I've got the Aspire 5551-A, it's a couple of years old now. And I can't find any of that in the menus.

Some people say there should be something in the mouse settings related to the touchpad, if not you could try deleting the old touchpad driver and downloading new one from here and see if it fixes the issue.

I tried to search for button combinations to enable touchpad scrolling, but I couldn't find anything. :indiff:
