Online racing confuses me. How can I create a fair race??? I do not understand.

When I create a race, how can I make sure the other users have access to the same cars which I do. For example, I will choose my tuned NSX...how can they race in the same car??? I can set the HP limit, but I don't want them choosing a slower car, I want them to have race the exact same car I am using....

I'm quite confused. It's either my opponents have faster cars which I do not have access to, or my car is faster than my opponents car, making it difficult to have a balanced race...

if you want fair race the only way to do it is set the car you want other to use, like stock Mines GTR or the new Mclaren. If you choose one of your car and set PS/weight to be the same as your car you just have to hope that other people wont have a fastest car. Tuning battle is frustrating but that's why I play this game.

There is no way to enforce such things through the room setup.
However, you can give the room a title like "NSX Race Only" and then if anyone joins without an NSX, as the room creator you have the power to kick them out.
That's about as good as it gets at this point with the limited options in online.

So you are saying for one-make cars, I can only choose the cars in the "pre-loaded" garage that PD gave everybody access to...There is no way they can access a car from my own garage...They would have to have the same car in their own garage in order to use it?

If only we can set regulations based on displacement, aspiration, drivetrain, year make, country, etc...

Because HP limitation only applies on Super GT /GT300, but there are lots of real life championship based on displacement, aspiration, besides weight and tyres regulation.

I don't know about a displacement limit. That'd be kinda confusing as people would have to scour their garage, arcade garage, and used car lots and read the displacements of each car.

An easier idea would be a power:weight limit "if" the rumored new PP system is based on that + tires. Then you'd have some David v. Goliath battles (think old BTCC) with hot hatches & muscle cars. That would be awesome as you can race the car you want, it just has to be within power:weight limits.
