Best way to improve Gt6 is sound distorting it with an equalizer but if we haven't one we can do the same with a computer/laptop.
I will post what I've done in OSX but it can be done in Windows (easier)
The idea is connect audio out from the PS3 (or TV) to computer "line in", then modify the audio with an eq and send it to speaker through "line out"
PS3--->Line In--->Line Out--->(sound system) Speakers
we need:
- App to activate Play thru (line in to headphones): LineIn http://rogueamoeba.com/freebies/
- Program to eq sound: Boom (free trial and very cheap to buy) or other: http://www.globaldelight.com/boom/index.php
- Cables to make the connection. In my case only a 3.5 jack to 3.5 jack to connect tv out to line in.
A snapshot of the two apps and the eq settings:
The challenge is to find the best settings to make engine sound a lot better.
In windows is easier because you don't need an app to play thru, just unmute "line in" and most sound cards drivers include a global eq.
The results..
With EQ:
No EQ:
