How to play videos with Dolby AC3 audio format?

I've got a video of the Camel GT championship 1991 , unfortunately I cant hear any sound because its in the Dolby AC3 format, the program says I need something like a DirectShow Decoder.
Since I am absolutely not a computer geek I have no idea what to do to get sound. I cant play it with WMP, DivX-player or winamp. How the hell can I get and install that encoder?
