Trading:
Make a trading system that requires both parties to be online to complete a trade. This means that people CANNOT send cars to their own sub accounts and still allow trading to have a strong presence in the game. If anyone has ever played a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, you know what I am talking about. Have a trade window open to offer a trade to someone, select the items you want to offer and wait to see what they offer. If both people like what the other person is offering, BOTH parties will NEED to press accept in order for the transaction to go through.

Considering PD is from Japan, I'm sure they know what MMORPGs are since about 80% of MMOs come from Japan. What amazes is me is that PD didn't think up this idea in the first place when it is obviously needed in a game this big. (face-palm) Putting in this trading system would most certainly get rid of duping/dupers.

Gifting:
Keep the 1,000,000 Cr. car value limit, I can see why PD had to do this but they didn't think it through and how it would effect the GT5 community. I would say Bravo! if they only put in a trading system like the one I talked about above, but for now, all I can do is shake my head...

Lending:
I like the fact that I can borrow someone's car and they can borrow mine. What I don't like is the fact that you can't take the borrowed car online. (another face-palm) I would be all for this if we could take the damn cars online! Say I have a friend who wants to be part of a F10 race thats happening online but doesn't have the car to do it. Since I am not allowed to gift a car over 1 Million Credits, I should put it under my shared cars list... Oh wait!

This whole lending thing should also be limited to one person borrowing your car at a time if they haven't already done that. It should show who has the keys to the car and the owner should have the power to take the keys away from that person if need be.

Honestly, PD is on a update roller coaster. They give us something we want and then soon after mess it up making the game just as bad as before. They aren't thinking or planning ahead. I feel like the 1.07 update was an impulse update. Yes fix the problem!! BUT not by limiting the players, instead, find an alternative like the TRADING SYSTEM I talked about at the top of this post!

P.S. Sticky please until PD fixes the problem.
I feel like this thread should be where everyone voices their ideas on how to fix the gifting/trading problem instead of mindless, "I hate this new update! PD ruined GT5!" posts.

You can be online at the same time if you have your accounts on two different PS3's.

They (PD) should stop worrying about how individuals want to play the game, its their game, they paid their money and should be allowed to dupe if they want to. And to anyone who doesn't want to dupe, here's a good idea, don't dupe. This way everyone is happy.

You don't hear people who trade and dupe cars moaning because other people aren't duping etc.

I don't know how the legal issue stands for GT5, but usually when you 'buy' software, you buy a license to use it, you don't own the software (hence, it's not their game). It should be somewhere in the EULA.

Surely if you have the license to use software you can use that software the way you want to (provided it is legal I suppose).

Sharing should be changed. This would solve issues with the current system. I may want to use my car and unshare it when someone else is just going to use it and they miss out. Why restrict its use when it is shared. I agree on the online use of shared cars.

Why not make Shared cars the same for everyone including yourself. You go to your profile and click on your car and you are given the choice to Borrow it. Leave status changing of cars to GT Life.

I agree - You normally buy a licence to use it and it is not yours to transfer to someone else (although trading games in makes a mockery of this). But once you have it you are entitled to use it in any way you want to the best of my knowledge.

I wonder if anyone has checked the terms and conditions that you accept when you install the game to see if it has a clause about duplication of cars etc., it may be interesting to find out. If there aren't any clauses then they can have no complaints when people dupe or set up extra accounts.

That actually defeats the purpose of a license. You can only use the software, as stated in the license agreement you agreed to when purchasing the game (license).

Yeah, something tells me that if they had studied other games, they may have come to the table with a much better system to begin with. YOu can tell they really wanted to encourage online trading and community etc. but it's pretty crummy and flawed. Same goes for most of GT's online/community features.

Thankfully they now seem to be open up to the possibility that they can't make things perfect from within their little bubble.
