You're crazy, man! You've never accidently downed a tube of Pringles in one sitting?
Never!
They are too salty, and too un-potato tasting.

I prefer low-salt or no-salt chips, preferably of the kettle variety.

I agree. They are very salty. That's why I always purchased the silver can "Right" Pringles. A lot less salt and a stronger potato flavor.

However, the store never seems to have them in stock. The shelf for it is ALWAYS empty.

Is the store not buying them, or are more discerning chip lovers getting to them first?

It doesn't matter what you do to your potato chips to get rid of the grease - you'll also get rid of a similar level of flavour. A proper 'potato' chip is flavoured on the outside, unlike a Pringle which may or may not have flavour added to the reconstituted potato mix before cooking. Get rid of the grease - get rid of the flavour.
