Lets just say i got my hands on a pretty good number of Led zeppelin songs. These songs, once I put them on my ipod, have enormous names, for example [Complete Studio Recordings (CD 10)] for the album and Led Zeppelin - Coda - 01 - We're Gonna Groove for the song.

How would i go about changing the names and album to what they should look like?

You need to edit the ID3 tag. Since you're using an iPod, I'll assume you're using iTunes and tell you how to do it that way. Right click on the file in iTunes and select "Get Info," and then edit/fill out whatever it is that needs editing/filling out. I forgot how to do it in Winamp (as it's been months since I've used it) but filling out the info is the exact same.

My Personal computer is not compatible with itunes so i don't have access to it at the moment. I have to use itunes with my dads computer, but once i get a chance ill try this out, thank you.

One question, will it rename the song file itself, or just the file while its in itunes. Problem being when i get new music, its usually a lot of new songs, so its easier just to delete my library, and add the folder with the songs in it again.

Integra Type R is talking about editing the ID3 tags, which are a specific set of info embedded into mp3s, and probably the information that your iPod is using for its display (I don't know, I don't own one). The filename will remain unchanged, and the ID3 tag edits should apply to the file in all situations, whether or not you're listening to it in iTunes.

save them into "my Music" where all of your other songs are saved, then right-click on them and change their name. THEN edit the ID3 tags in you music player.
e.g. Led Zeppelin - We're gonna groove, then in the ID3, add the album

If it's a large number of files you wish to rename, this can become pretty tedious though. I could never do it this way on all my audio files

What I've done is used an auto tagging program to correct tags and rename/reorganize my music collection. I highly recommend PicardTagger. It checks the file PUID against it's database to sort the files into albums and creates a correct ID3 tag for it. Of course, you can still edit the tag afterwards with the program if you don't like the ones the program automatically selects. I had to do this occasionally with songs it didn't recognize or that it put into compilation albums (I want things sorted by artist, and not have a heading called Various Artists). For the most part though, the tags it created satisfied me. Cleaned up my collection significantly - a task that would have been too large and daunting to do by manually.
It also has several options to rename files in a user defined format based on the tags, and can sort the files into subdirectories by artist/album (or whatever you want) if you're a stickler for stuff like that, as I am.

edit:
If you do use it, and use iTunes or JetAudio like I do, make sure you check the options to write new tags as ID3 v2.3 as well as ID3 v1. The default is to write v2.4, which for some reason (my versions) of iTunes and JetAudio did not recognize.
