How to Skip an Event in a Championship

I'm doing the Dream Car Championship and would really really appreciate not having to do the race at the nurburgring... hate that track.

I will have more than enough point to safely skip it and win the series but how exactly to I just skip that race and not exit the whole series itself?

I dont want to press leave and then end up cancelling all my progress to that point.
 
Just retire from that race but don't exit the championship I have done it on the FGP championship twice as I didn't want to do Monza and Suzuka in the wet.

the wet race can last along time 45min + lol not fun.
