That code, if I'm correct is a Gameshark code. You have to enter that code into Game Shark.

But what is a game shark is it in the gran turismo game?

As Super-Supra stated, that is gameshark code and you do need a gameshark to use it. A Gameshark is a device that allows you to cheat on a wide variety of games. in the US it is available for several of the different platforms. To answer your question, no, Gameshark is not in the Gran Turismo game. For more information on the gameshark, go to Gameshark.com. It is $49.99 USD when I last checked, which translates to 44.29 Euro's (however you spell it). Good luck, and I hope you enjoy your stay at the GTP.

Gameshark is a cheat device for PS2, Being from the Netherlands U would use an AR2 (Action Replay 2) for the PAL version, and need to use PAL codes, unless of course U are one of those that have a modded PS2 and the NTSC game.

So what i have 2 buy now?

Just to elaborate on a couple of the previous posts. I would stay away from gameshark.com. Even if U have the NTSC game the current GS2 sold there can not use the code that U posted, or most of the codes U will find on the net. U can find an AR2 at codejunkies.com

So ......
- I Live in the netherlands
- The ps2 in pal system or something
- I have the gran turismo 3 game & the code's
- but if i let me uncle buy the game in america en he send it 2 me can i use it then?

No, You live in the Netherlands, to which Polyphony only retails the PAL version of the game, You probably have the wrong code for your version of the game, and NSTC games won't work on a european PS2 (I don't think, if so, you would need an adapter). IMHO, it would probably be a heck of alot easier for you to just follow Heydu's instructions and get an ActionReplay2 (or an XPort; then you can hybrid the easy way:D)

No.

The games are region-coded, to an extent. A game bought in the USA would require a North American PS2 to play it on. You are in Europe and have a European PAL PS2.

Since this all started with a "code" - do you actually know what the code does? Are you willing to spend £30 (50 Euro) to buy an Action Replay cartridge just specifically to input this code in your game?

It's a cheat code, and you're not gonna believe what it does (well, that he needs it...). It gives the user 10,000,000,000,000 credits. Obsession, no offense, but I frown upon that code and anyone who is willing to sink low enough to use it.

I quite like how the Hex naturally forms the word "DEAD" at the end of the first line :D

00000000 00010000
00000000 00001000
00000000 10000000
00000000 00010000

Translates to 0D 0E 0A 0D I believe (been a while since I tried to understand binary code...)

  1. You can't buy that because it's sold out
  2. Doubtful, Go to your local gaming store and pick up ActionReplay2 if you are really so bad that you can't race a little to get some cash like the unfortunate people...

codebreaker won't work on PAL, the Pal version of it is called exploder I believe. Not sure of the code conversions for it though, so U would be better off with an AR2, or xport for PAL version and MKs program.
