I think I gave up once I'd attempted about 25 runs and hadn't made it past the chicane under the trees...

That chicane can be an absolute pain. I feel you on that. Another problem is the car can be REALLY finicky, and just one slight turn gets me off into the grass. Don't even get me started on the DQ (and I'm not talking about Dairy Queen!) penalties for light contact with the wall.
 
Drive slowly and perfect instead of rushing. I took it fairly slowly and i got gold with over a second remaining.

I hope it's the goodwood something of speed 5-3 we are talking about :scared: or i just told how i won at a completely different race. :)

Congrats! I'm still a while away from 100%. Might put in a few hours this weekend...
