How would someone get a game designed?

I was wondering if anybody knew if there was a way that any plain person (with enough money) could go into a game developer's office like Polyphony Digital and get them to make a private game that would only be for that person?

Doubt it would work for a large developer, you could probably get away with it at some small upstart developer though since they aren't expecting as large of profit.

If one wants a game, one would need to figure out how to make said game in the privacy of ones own home. It would cost a fortune to have a developer do a one-off.

With enough money you could do anything!

But if GT cost $50-$60 million.... and then the developed would want to make profit on top of that.. then you might need an aweful lot of money!

Browser based games though, you could probably get a bunch of students to do for free (just tell them it might earn them some money in future!)

With enough money I'm sure PD would more than happy to make you a game.

What if you said that you would give them xxxamount if they made a certain game.
If i had enough money then I would do that.
