HP figures?

I was farting around with the cars in my garage, and noticed that both of my RX-8s have 281 hp, while the ones at the dealer are rated at a lower figure (246 I believe). There are no mods on either car, unless my four year old has been sneaking in and modding my cars late at night, and masking them somehow so I can't change the settings. ;)

So, any theories? :confused:

If this is a glitch, I hope they make the same mistake on the real RX-8 that's coming out in 03/03. :D
 
The dealership figures are the figures mentioned by the carmakers...usually the numbers are lower because of all kind of environmental laws.
 
Haven't seen you in a while GSL-SE. Yea, cars at the dealer are usually rated less hp. Can't wait till the RX-8 comes out, my dad will get to drive them, same with me and my brother.
 
And forgot to mention but the RX-8 in real life is suppose to only be 250HP, unless they changed it. Still very fast.

i know what u guyz are talking about,i had the same problem,i bought a viper gts (red) because i had all the other colors,but my red one i just bought was different,it had a stock power of 620HP!!
and when i modded it it got to 1550HP!!!

truely weird 😈

13B into the 1st gen, should be really fast. I don't know if we will get an RX-8, my dad seems to think that they will have problems and stuff, but he's a Mazda master tech so he can fix anything. We're a family of 4 here, so it's perfect. It's fast, looks nice, and isn't that expensive...well it doesn't look like we will get it. Our newest car out of our 6 is a 93 Probe GT. We're stuck in the late '80s early '90s.
