hp increasing?

i just wanted to start the seasonal race #3 (deep forest with a mazda rx-7 blabla, max 152hp). bought a brandnew mazda with exactly 152hp. i want to start the race - denied, because my car has 153hp. huh? okay, so i go to the ring and drive a few rounds, hoping to lose that one hp, after a few rounds i have 154hp. HUH? what happened?
 
You engine is running in, it will increase slightly as you have found, after a few more it will level off , then after a few more it will start to drop.
 
i see. never noticed increasing hp though. well, the mazda is a fun car to drive, so i don't mind. anyway, thanks for explaining.
