Whoa! And I thought the Benz that did that was wierd when I first saw it.

That looks more like a plane! It needs wings on the side to put those on!

I never posted I because I already figured someone else had. I even won it really early in the game too. It sounds sick and actually drives quite well. Mabey I will get a longer video and post it. I hope people check that out because it really shocked me the first time I took that car to a track and saw all the body parts moving around on the car.
I think there are vents or something in the front that move too but im not sure.

I remember reading about that concept car back in the day. Supposedly the wings add downforce and drag to the inside of the car in a turn, keeping it flat and helping it turn in better. It was a really cool looking car in it's day, but now it looks a little... dated???

I also got mine early in the game. I drove mine around for a few laps to check out the active-aero thing in action and then parked it. wasn't all that impressed, but now that I have adapted to the new physics I'll have to give it another try.

wow ive had that car for weeks and never knew that, just looked like another 80's concept of what we would be driving in 2005 or something. HAH!

GT4feverone
SLR McLaren makes something similare with aero-spoiler-brake.

Really? I did not know that. Thanks for clearing everything up for us...

dori-san in POST #2!

I swear, the thing looks like something a Klingon would drive. The logo on the hood even looks like the emblem for the Klingon Empire...

Yeah I am one to take every car I win for a test drive and I too was like cool when I saw the flaps lift up when turning and braking etc. And yes the front ones move too under braking.

It's kinda gay IMO. It's like a permanent riced wing stuck on the back of your car.

i DO hope you noticed when this car was a concept?
plus.. dont mention the word rice... no concept car.. ever.. or even any stock car can be considered rice. :irked:

I was amazed that some of these cars had moving parts... it's so cool.

First one I saw was the sides of the Cein.

The production Mitsu 3000 GT VR4 had some active-aero... wings, spoilers. Even the exhaust had a bypass. Too bad the car weighed about as much as 2 MINIs.

I will rename this thread and we can get some pics of the Cien in here too or any other car with moving parts. I have not seen that on the Cien yet and I put a lot of miles on that car in the beginning. I also heard the Crossfire and the Nissan GTR Concept had moving parts. If someone can get pics of the front of the HSR parts coming out that would be nice. Otherwise I can do it tomorrow when I have time.

ya crossfire has that tiny spoiler that comes up at 70ish MPH
the CLK GTR has that spoiler that comes up.. dunno what speed

to bad we dont have porsches :D
lots of cars have moving parts, just gotta notice them ;)

i was just disapointed when i saw that the scoop on the hood of the chevy chevelle didnt move with the revs of the engine like its supposed to :(

Cien and Crossfire confirmed. CLK GTR- Does not move anything.
I dont have the VW W12 or the Nissan GTR Concept yet so I cant take pics.

Damn, I should start driving my cars in the zoomed out camera view. I've been driving the Cien for a long time and I never knew the spoiler lifted. I knew about the SLR's "air-brake", because of it's appearence on Top Gear, and also following for a whole lap around the 'Ring in the Pan Euro cup.

So did some '80 Skylines. Wierd chin spoiners that flipped out at a certain speed. I think the R31 in the game has the chin spoiler permanently flipped out, but I'd have to double check...

There's more to see moving on the Cien. In replays you can see the air inlets and outlets open and close as it reaches a certain speed.

I never knew that. I'll have to race this car again, and pay better attention to the replay.
