Well this is what happens when you watch 3 movies in 1 day where a E34 gets wrecked.
My dad comes home from work about 30 mins ago, mom tells me to move the car out of the garage. I go there and my dad looks pissed about something. I start to back out the same way as always only to notice If I do I WILL hit my dads car. Foolishly I gave it more of a right turn and at a crawl just backed the huge nose onto the side of the garage door wall. Needless to say trim came off(its back on), left side blinker broke (being glued right now), and now there is a softball size dent with paint ripped off it and my bumper now has another black line on the edge.

What do I learn from this.
1-My parents scare the shnitzel out of me and I do not want to get close to their cars.
2-E34 LFQP is not strong at all.

Pro's
1- I now have an excuse to get rid of the silly old people color.

Well, tomarrow is gonna be hammer time.

This thread is worthless without logic. Why didn't you simply ask your father to move HIS car before moving YOURS if it was clear it was going to hit something when you moved it?

I'm sure he would have asked his dad to move the car if he thought he couldn't make the turn, M5Power.

Well i mean he says "I start to back out the same way as always only to notice If I do I WILL hit my dads car." So if you notice it WILL hit your dad's car, walk back inside and go "Dad! Please move your car!"

Maybe he likes a challenge.

Lapse in judgement, M5Power. It could happen to anyone, even you. get off the guy's case about it.

Mind you, I'm certain you've made stupid, embarrassing mistakes as well. And wouldn't you like a little sympathy?

Yeah, lapse in judgement. Its tough to make a right call after being woken up by your dad screaming at you to move the car out of the garage because his was throwing cel codes and SES light came on also.

Surveyed the damage and thank God that the QP come of in this car, I do have to find a junkyard with E34s around me or a parts car.I will try to straighten it out a bit though. Pics are comming later.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, the car has officially been hit on all 4 corners now. I bought it with a busted front right bumper moulding and bent bumper, and in '97 it was rear ended and "fixed".

Doug makes no mistakes. Doug is perfect.

Wait wait wait. This isn't even a mistake, this is just a freaking lapse in judgement... a CORRECTABLE one!!

I would make the following mistake: get in the car, NOT REALIZING it will hit something and, indeed, hit something. Hell I make that mistake all the time.

No logical human being would make the following mistake: get in the car REALIZING it will hit something and then, indeed, HIT SOMETHING. Am I wrong!?!? The (total lack of) logic here absolutely astounding!!!

I didnt know I would hit the garage door wall, I knew I would hit my dads car if got out of the garage as I always do. For some reason people always misinterpret stuff I write on the interwebz.

And I'm waiting for dad to go to work before hammer time.
Here are some diagrams.
