Does anyone here have a human racing rig? Is it worth it at £950? The suppliers for the UK are based a 5 minute walk from my house in Birmingham, I'm tempted to ask them if they have a demonstration/exhibition unit for sale at a reduced price or ram raiding them in the middle of the night.

Have them demonstrate the unit in your house

For me , it worth every penny and $1 more. easy to place anywhere in the room and very very comfortable for long play. not to mention, the family love it. it's not an eyesore in the middle of the room.
Here's mine:

if it's close to you I would suggest go in for a test. ask them to adjust the wheel deck, slide the seat around, drive and compare it with other rig at your mate's place, compare the wobbliness. My older version silver ones almost have no wobble at all.
The black one im using at the moment is the same version. reviewed in inside sim racing a while back.

Thanks all for your replies. I'll pop in next week sometime and case the joint.

Definitely, worth the money. I think that they're worth more than the asking £950 to be honest. I've got one, and I wouldnt settle for anything less now. Go for it, I know the guy who sells them, and he's a great guy, wouldn't sell you anything less than perfect (:
