Wow Hyundai is going all in on electric. I wonder how long before other manufacturers follow suit.

I'm glad the nearly dozen-thousand workers in that division have been transferred to the new powertrain development department(s), rather than being completely out of a job. It also seems to me that the ambitions that Hyundai and Genesis have for their future lineups - specifically, how much of it will be electrified - are being proven as being more than just talk. Either way, I'll be looking forward to see how (or if) this impact their ambitions for motorsport, especially with some Genesis-branded racecars potentially appearing in GT7. If we see a Genesis-branded LMDh/LMH in the real world, I'd definitely tune in - mostly since my dad drives a 2018 G80 Sport, haha! Heck, even a Hyundai-branded prototype would potentially get me to watch.

Forget fires. There’s going to to have to be reliable networks for the functions of EVs. All the different apps, updates, electronic failures before even getting in the car. All manufacturers of EVs are going to face this.

Main thing I’m hoping for, are prices to drop.

Hopefully now there will be no more engine fires😂
Thankfully this isn't an issue with their newer 1.6T which is honestly a great engine. Has given me no issues in 88k very hard miles and takes all 24psi I shove through it each day without a sweat.
