all my game progress (just about all main events but endurance, most seasonals and a good few specials), level 27 a-spec, 6.9 million credits, a red FGT, a white FGT, Peugeot 908 HDI and multiple other excellent cars, namely Ferrari's, Lambo's and JGTC's all gone... *screams*

...all because i was doing the 'free car' exploit; was in the process of making two identical NSX RM's for me and my friend to race against one another online. and needless to say, not once have i made a backup of my saved data. BIIIIIIIIG mistake which has now come to haunt me...

i bought the car, did it all up, sent it to my friend, quit game, deleted my users' save file in preperation to copy the old file back... went on to my other user to find no save game data there; my heart instantly stopped, knowing i'd deleted my save file. i very quickly realised destroyed my own GT5 pride-and-joy

so yeah, i'll now have to start all over again. ****!!!!!!!!!! 2 months' GT5'ing gone to total waste

unless there is a way to get that saved data back; which i highly doubt, however........ if there is, can anyone help there?!

so it's now looking like i'm worth 20k credits, level 0 a- and b-spec all over again. noooooooooooooooooooooo

Hopefully you learned to always back up your save data.

That's unfortunate. Sometimes, the best lessons in life are the ones that are hardest. Take comfort in the fact that you have learned something, and try not to repeat it.

If experience teaches us anything, it's that threads about lost data due to attempted duplication always bring out the anti-glitch fundamentalists... In other words, to preserve the sanctity of the board and to prevent yet another religious war, they always get locked...
