HP Limit: 750

Classes: 350 hp or less
351 hp to 450 hp
451 hp to 550 hp
551 hp to 650 hp
651 hp to 750 hp

Allowed mods: all

Allowed engine mods: cars that will exceed 750 hp, mod your car to the closest to 750hp as you can (on the less side) cars that won't make 750hp no matter what, knock yourself out and mod your car to it's full capacity

You may post one set of times only, so make sure they are the best you can do. You also must state the car you used to obtain that time (post it in the same form I did, track then time then car used)

You may compete in all classes, but as above you must state the car you used in the order of track, time, car.

All times are due in by January 30th, 2002. Give a little time for me to sort the winner as there are a heck of a lot of us here at GTPlanet!

Off you go every one and beat my times!!

If possible can you please submit all times at once? Thank you and have a nice day.

So....If we're trying to beat your times, what are the different HP classes for?? Someone isn't going to beat the time you posted in a Xexel Skyline by running a 300 HP Skyline on the same track, you know....

I'll post some as I can.. I'm currently running at Tahiti Road in a GT2 series... I'll post the times I've run after the event is over.

I tested one of the competitors cars, and ran 52.541 @ 192mph.. Unisia Skyline.

Don't you like Reverse tracks?

Off memory...

Red Rock GT ONE Road 50.9xx @ 223mph
GT ONE 98' 51.xx
R30 Silhouette 54.9xx

OK, I'll run those tracks again and try to beat those times, but in all truth I was posting times as an example of what I want you to beat, they are not by ANY measure my best times.

Thanx
Mr GT2

Ok, then, G_T_B, the tracks on the list that are in GT1, you may run and get your best time

Thanx
Mr GT2

I have run these tracks again and obtained my best time, instead of a time that sounds good. The times have been lowered by about 6 seconds, varying to 10 seconds. I have changed the times on the first post of this thread.
Enjoy, every1.

Oh, Gee, Trailer, I wonder what we'll do about THAT little problem?? I know! get the Zexel Skyline and runit around the track, and try to beat my time.
I merely stated different calsses because some people out there may have a fave car that doesn't make the 750 hp limit, and they don't want to swap cars for a better time, so they try and win their calss.

All right, all right simmer down  just wondering what might be percolating around in your mind there.

Well, I had a bit of time on my hands today so went in & ran a few time trials for consideration. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to touch your times Jazza, as you can see :(
I don't currently have access to the Calsonic Skyline, so I used the Unisia Jecs Skyline instead (712 hp).

Tahiti Road 0.57.007 Denso Supra
Midfield 1.05.859 Unisia Jecs Skyline
High Speed Ring 0.50.067 Denso Supra
Seattle Short Course 0.54.191 Unisia Jecs Skyline
Seattle Circuit 1.27.745 Denso Supra

I set up the cars & ran 15 laps on each course. These were my personal best times.... :shakehead: :shakehead: :shakehead:
I don't have any way to visually corroborate these times, no screen shots etc. but I wanted to post 'em up all the same.
Looks like practice practice practice...

Thats OK mate. I want to find out who out of you lot (not including me as I am hosting the series) at GTP has the best time. I will add your times to the list and you will come in a certain position (what it is I don't know yet) But if it is not too much trouble could you please post the rest of your times?

Thanx

Thanx, Fogelhund. I will take your time down and add it to the list. If possible, could you please post the rest of your times. Don't worry about the sectors, just give me the full times.

Thanx
Mr GT2

I'll see what I have, but I don't keep a log of times at all...

Just what's on memory card, or what I've run most recently..

Yeah...I know....Some a' those times SUCK :( :( but some of the others aren't bad at all. I surprised myself on the R5's & Grand Valley East, but that's ruined by the absolute dreck I ran on Trial Mountain & Grindelwald....I'll try & get you the rest as quickly as I can.

OK, people, It's here. Leg2: endurance. You pair up with someone else, run stints and PM your times to me.
I have shortened some the tracks so you will not have to race 90 laps or more.
Grand Valley: 60 laps Stint 1: 21 laps stint 2: 23 laps stint 3: 16 laps.
Apricot hill: 50 laps Stint 1: 17 laps stint 2:13 laps stint 3: 20 laps.
Seattle city: 40 laps Stint 1: 12 laps stint 2: 13 laps stint 3: 15 laps.
Laguna Seca: 50 laps Stint 1: 20 laps stint 2: 15 laps stint 3: 15 laps.
Rome city: 60 laps Stint 1: 20 laps stint 2: 20 laps stint 3: 20 laps.
Trial Mountain: 30 laps Stint 1: 10 laps stint 2: 10 laps stint 3: 10 laps.
Special Stage R5: 50 laps Stint 1: 19 laps stint 2: 21 laps stint 3: 10 laps.

Rules: you "travel" around the racing scene racing at the various tracks stated above. You may race double stints, but you must record times for each stint and the whole race. Once your times are recorded you compare them by PM or whichever means you wish. You then combine your times to create the best time possible. Then you must post your times on this thread or PM them to me. I will record them and give you a certain position at the end.

Okay, sorry my friend, but I need a bit of clarification on this one then... :(
We're pairing up and then for each race, each person on the team is supposed to run the whole race & then compare times to arrive at the best time, or each person switches off running one stint and that's how we compile the times?
Also, when you say "combine your times to create the best time possible" are you looking for the best lap time, or best total race time?:reallyodd
Arg! Sorry mate, this is probably completely straightforward but I just want to get it right becuase I've thoroughly enjoyed the series so far!

do you have any proof of these times, such as a screen shot or ANYTHING, replays would be nice also, some of these times seem alittle too fast buddy.

SHAME ON YOU!!!!
I did not cheat.
I got these times by running one track a day, and messing around with the settings. It comes down to the gear ratios mate. And the springs. I fiddles with this, twiddled that up half a notch, things like that. It all comes down to skill, mate, SKILL.

K. What u do it talk bout it by yourselves, agree on pairing, and run the race that I've set up for u. At the end of each stint u record a time (say a half hour for the 1st stint on a track). Then u get together with ure partner and compare times. If ure partner has a better time than u for the 1st and last stint, but u hav a better time for the second, then u go with that order (partner, you, partner). Just like real racing. Get it now?

I don't think that Jazza is trying to say that he ran the times listed in the first post of this thread. He picked his times and reduced them by a variety of times, less 10 seconds....

It is pretty easy to read through what the times were..

Tahiti Road 0.43.552 Denso Supra add 10 seconds 53.552
Midfield raceway 0.54.293 Calsonic Skyline add 10 seconds 1:04.293...although it is possible this was 5 seconds for a 59.293???
Laguna Seca 0.51.623 Calsonic Skyline, add 20 seconds 1:11.623
Apricot Hill 1.00.219 CDMA Cerumo Supra (that car rocks!!!!) add 10 seconds 1:10.219

I don't think that they were meant to represent real times...perhaps I'm wrong.
