Hey man if you hold the game up to a light and dont see light comming from the other side of the DVD from the scratches Than it could be fixed. Just go out and buy your self a GAME DR. That thing works wonders for me! It should cost you about $25.00 for that. Or you could wait .. i think next month or May... for sony to release the 1st round of Greatest Hits games and GT3 will be there. That would also cost about $25.00 .

many game stores also repair cd's for you. and they use the professional machines, they usualy charge anywhere between 2-10 dollars depending on damage.

Oh yeah or you could do that:lol: :D

I just argued with my brother about it and we are each going to pay half price each and get a new one. by the looks of it its beyond repairs anyway.

my ps2 was rebought, even though warranty was expired, they gave me money back...

Feel sorry for you, man I too am suffering serious lack of GT3, and I am seriously pissed too!!!

Let me explain:

I bought Metal Gear 2, two weeks ago. And was hooked at once.
Two days later, a guy I see at work almost every day, comes to me asking if ha may borrow GT3. I said no. Later that evening I felt sorry for him, since he's only got one game.. So I brought it with me Thursday. Then he asks if he may borrow it over the weekend, and give it back to me Monday. I say ok.. I've got Metal Gear, so I probably won't plat GT3 in the weekend anyway.. But I completed the game early sunday morning.. (Which reminds me that I must recommend a cocktail of Metal Gear 2 and a bottle of whiskey... :D man that was awesome..)

Now it is Wednesday, and I haven't got GT3 back yet !!!
He even came up to me yesteday, saying how sorry he was, and promised to bring it today. **** HIM!! That is the last time, he borrows anything from me.
I even considered going out buying the new cheap platinum edition of GT3, but I know I will regret it...but it is soo tempting...

 What he said!

I own a Game Doctor, they're worth every penny if you have optical media in your house. :D

Daaaaamn, that must've been some party!

i know it isnt really part of the thread but when i broke my PS2 a few days after i bought, i took it to the shop where i got it with the recipt. after giving it to them for about 3 days they called me up and told me that it could be fixed. i dont know if is just me but when you pay £300 for a sophisticated piece of technology and then you break it, you dont want to have a repaired one, you want a brand new one! (well i do anyway). after picking the unfixed PS2 up from the shop, i took it home and introdued it to my foot several violant times. after about 10mins of this i left it alone and took it back to the shop the next day. they werent able to repair it that time and i got a brand new one.

 What's the difference if it's reparied or new? If it works, that's the important part. On the same note, If I'm spending $300 on a sophisticated piece of equipment, I expect it to not only work well, and for quite some time, but also to be able to be repaired, perhaps several times.
Nothing peeves me like bad product design!!!

Hey i know your pissed dude but don't slag off GTA3, were else can you drive a dodge and kill someone to? (Not to mention work for the Mafia).

Plus Remember this DTA Don't Trust Anyone .

Get your lovely Brother who you lent GT3 to, slam him up against the wall, swear a lot and demand money for a new game.
