I really don't think it is legal for a company to take something away from us that we have already paid for. We paid for the game and all of it's parts including the trading. I really don't think they can do this to us. It would be like buying a new car and you take it in for a checkup and they remove the cruise control, Not legal to do that. Each one of us that have purchased the game actually owns the trading rights as advertised with no limits. Could be interesting.. Just my thoughts at this time..

Are you being serious? Dear god...

First off, you paid for a license, a license that allows PD to change whatever they want at any point in time for any reason. You agreed to that license.

It's nothing at all like the dealer taking your cruise control.

You do not own the trading rights as advertised.

It will not be interesting. Your thoughts are wrong.

Are you kidding me?!

They can pretty much do whatever they please.

In England it's actually illegal to take features away from something. Sony was sued when they took away the "other OS" feature from the PS3s.

Really? A lawsuit? We as Americans sure throw that around like it's second nature now. It's a game, play it. They're not taking away something you already paid for. Online features come and go and are considered "additional" content. Besides, they are modifying the feature, not taking it away. There sure are a lot of other issues going on with our country that would deserve more of your class action attention, however.

Play the game to get the cars.
You don't need to trade and duplicate to get stuff.
Just Bob. Lol
Reminding me of pokemon somehow, you shouldn't just trade a level 100 charizard over to the new game. It takes all the fun out of it.

People know what a EULA is, but we live in a society of ignorance where people will claim they "didn't know" they were doing anything illegal when caught doing something wrong. Why do you think this all got started anyways? People were doing something illegal by selling on eBay. Sony and PD could have slammed them for it.

it's not a trading game! its a driving game

From someone who has 243 trades and 34 2-tone Bugatti's...

GT5 was released for about 3 months, ~90 days. That means you must have about at least 4 trading accounts?

Trades weren't limited till late December. Could have easily gotten majority of those trades in 30 days.

LOL.

Why stop at GT5? I say go after them all, make game companies pay for what they have done to you. All that emotional and financial scarring, you deserve to be compensated financially.

Personally, I feel like I should go after them for false advertising. This "real driving simulator" features a car that does not exist. It's pure lies and it's printed right on the box.

Still. Someone who has 243 trades and 34 2-tone Bugatti's lecturing others that it's a driving game and not a trading game...

As long as its not a major advertised feature, they can change the game anyway and anytime they want.

I think it says on the game when you start it up that you cannot alter, copy, or sell the game at all so trading rights is wrong, technically you can't trade in a game.

There was never really any trading in the game, just something the community made up so you can't say that trading was a feature included in the game.

Like other people said, you bought a license, not the actual game. The license says that only YOU can use this game!

Every game changes, look at the people playing TDU 2, they were promised an immersive massive online experience, but now almost a month passed and online is still not working properly. They have a better chance at winning a lawsuit then you do.

Really i dont see how people can get upset about this. It doesn't ruin the game at all, it helps it in a way. Someone somewhere on this forum said that after 1.07, servers became more stable because people quit going back and forth logging on to there 10 different accounts. I can fully agree that servers are more stable.

Thats all.

O RLY? That's what you think? Care to look at the V1.07 release note?

[Other Changes]
- Cars worth over 1,000,000 Cr. (including gift car coupons) are now prohibited from being traded to prevent issues during the trading process. When lending and borrowing cars between friends, please use the car loan system.

PD don't care if you trade. They care now because some people were out of control.

This... Give most people an inch and they take a mile. I would love to see these clowns that are whining about it actually try and file a lawsuit.... That would be seriously funny.

When we all bought the game, and logged into it for the first time we ALL agreed to their TOS... I can bet beyond any shadow of a doubt that the PD legal team has something in there that. Protects them and allows them to do whatever they want to with the video game... It's theirs.

Want to trade things? Go play pokemon, or call TD Ameritrade.... Other than that just deal with it and earn the cars legitimately!

I would be willing to bet that if you went through the manual that comes with the game..... Not once does it mention "trading" of any sort!

Isn't it 76 cars or something like that, that you won't be able to send?

There are still over 900 that you will be able to.

Honestly, I'm not as hard core as most, I play when I can, but 12 hour shifts, wife and two kids means the time I have in has been more than expected. I love this game and love the relaxation I get from playing. The details are great and what I expected.

I can see the point of view for many complaints on here from more dedicated players for the game and series.

That said, it's a GAME, if the variance of trading VIRTUAL cars has someone upset enough to even think, nonetheless suggest, a massive lawsuit, is bizarre and to me means that it is time to set down a controller and go outside and play on the swings or merry go round. I'm not even being sarcastic.

You would think that by now all these guys whining about it... And knew this day was coming would have made sure they had the cars they wanted... And said people I am sure also are into duping....so honestly I don't understand why they all have their panties in bunches over this. Get over it!

Yep everyone agreed to the terms of service or whatever it was when we first installed the game, if you did not agree to let them do what they liked you were not permitted to install /play the game.

I don't like it either, but a lawsuit? Really? If they saw the whining about dupers, chances are they'll see the whining about the patch. Sit back and see if they do something!
