I can't 1.05 - why?

First of all, it's: "I can't download 1.05," but I don't know how to change the title.

I tried all day yesterday, but to no avail.

When I the PS3's internet is enabled, the game never "starts," it simply does the never-ending black screen. A few times, I did make it to the 1.05 prompt, but after clicking yes, it simply goes to the "floating glitter" background, with nothing else. :nervous:

My PS3's internet browser works just fine. I even deleted the install data, to no success. Is this an issue with the server? Should I change my DNS settings.

At this point, if someone's help works, I'll send them a gift car. This is extremely frustrating. :grumpy:

Did you load any songs for a custom soundtrack? If you did, delete them, that might do the trick.

I didn't. This is driving me crazy.

I even tried downloading it at a friend's house.
 
I called customer service... The best she could come up with is to move the PS3 closer to the router. -_-

Did you try to add a cable connection between the router and the PS3? Instead of WiFi?

weird.. probably you have to install all GT5 data again ....
 
I had a very similar, if not the same issue. Sony support had me disable Media Server Support in the network settings. After a restart I haven't had a problem since.

Hope this helps....I registered just to post this.

The deleted the data, with no success.

And at this point, i can't use a wired connection. It's on the other side of the house. :guilty:

Shame :( What does your PS3 network test say, what are your speeds?

I really made that many? Huh.... go figure.

Even in the questions section, there is a deluge of new [posts, and my question keeps getting lost. I don't know what to tell you. :nervous:
