I cant change my email adress in "my gtplanet"

Hello Jordan. I am having a problem when I try to go to "Edit Email & Password" and then put in my new email adress I put in "pimp.racer@gmail.com" into both of the things where I am supposed to and then I click "Save Changes" and then it says "The email address you entered is already in use. If you have forgotten your password, please click here." ( I also put in my password so I can change the email adress) Ok after that I just click on my gtplanet again and then the "Edit Email & Password" button and I still see my old email adress? OLD one = pimpracer@comcast.net
So I was wondering is there something wrong with the forums or is it just my computer? Anyone else having problems like this? Is it is possible if Jordan or any Moderator go into my account and change my email adress from pimpracer@comcast.net to pimp.racer@gmail.com

When you log in choose Remember Me, and then try. It sound like your name is getting logged off when you choose to save your profile. Otherwise, did you verify pimpracer@comcast.net as your original e-mail address. When you put in that email address, most likely long ago, you should have gotten an email with a link telling you to click to verify this e-mail address. If you didn't do this it won't let you change because it doesn't know if the original email address is your actual email address.
