Ok....so the new season seven events don't pay out huge buckets of money. Boo frikkin hoo! They do pay out good xp. The American Indy car challenge (the 5 lap one) that everybody grinds out. It only pays about 4400xp. The SE 4wd Cape ring pays 6000xp. How about we all sue PD for ripping us off.... wait then they might counter sue on the grounds that SOME of the players are just whiny little kids!:yuck:
Really get a life. The gravy train can't last forever. Unfortunately I spent my money unwisely and now have to grind it out. NOT PD's fault!
To PD I say thanks you for releasing GT5 because it finally gave me a reason to buy a PS3! I am a little disappointed at the lack of content but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes!

Oh yeah i saved 4.1 million, bought that peugeot FAP and now have 100k left with no ridiculous seasonal payouts to bump me back up ? Who's fault is that ? Certainly not PD's , just like in real life - if you don't plan for the unexpected then the unexpected will bite you in the a$$.

I hope PD keeps changing it up, to be the same routine/same credits every week would lose it's appeal very quickly.

Good call cruiserguy.....

First, people were cryin' cause they weren't there......then they arrived and they aren't good enough......and they give us a Ferrari challenge, and people still aren't satisfied.

I like it the way it is. I think PD is giving just enough to keep everybody's interest. How many people grinded and traded just to get there hands on a F2007/F2010. I personally had no reason to buy one before this seasonal event. I'd like to see more car/type specific events like Only JGTC cars or maybe even manufacture only events with High End or Amuse.

i agree there are a lot of whiny "kids" out there but when you can win the 4wd challenge with an 03 odyssey with 262 in a 400 hp event. Don't you think that is a little easy? I prefer to race these events like when they first came out with minimal horsepower to make them challenging but it seems as if PD designed the latest seasonals for beginners. The seasonal with the GTR a while back was hard but that's what made it fun. I saved and waited for this game in order to buy a PS3 as well and again agree with you on lack of content.

Please consider that everything is relative to the user's skill or level. For a level 38 user like me, the seasonals are useless in almost every way, except for some ephemeral distraction purposes. Not to mention that the races are easy for me even with "equally powered/modded" cars. Oh, and not because I consider myself the best player in the world, the races are so easy because the AI is so wrong that people need underpowered cars to feel some "racing" going on. :(

Yeah but the only useful events for you (many others and me as well) are endurances or the old seasonals, which aren't anymore, at least for the moment.

To the OP we will never be satisfied ever, as there is always something that someone thinks is not good or should be different. In general I do agree with you completely

Yup, Cape Ring race pays out 6000XP for 2 laps. Ferrari F1 @ Nürburgring GP/F pays out 35,900XP, if I remember correctly, for ten laps. Indy GP pays out around 27,800XP for 10 laps, too. That's not too shabby.

I unwisely saved up 5.3mil and bought a 787B just before the new seasonals now have 171,432 but not gonna complain and blame it on PD.

I like the fact that I can race any of the Ferrari F1 events over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, rather than doing the same @ Indy or Daytona "grinding" out $$ going in true circles.. At least you get replay value out of these seasonal events as compared to previous ones. Sure the XP doesn't really do much for "higher spec" driver's, but I'll take this anyday as compared to running those ovals even if it takes longer to make the same amount of money. It's about the FUN OF DRIVING, and if that's not fun I'd recommend putting another game in the PS3. Cheers. 👍

The sad thing is that in 10 days time, the F1 events are gone. Never understood why PD is doing this.

Payout in the seasonal events are crap, i dont want to grind. how am i expect to buy 5 million dollar vehicles??? hmm, by grinding 5 hours at indy. yeah i guess i'll just do that. Fix the payout PD

I enjoyed seasonal events but I think I made to correct car choice to make it enjoyable. Like most things in GT it's too easy for you to ruin it.

Soooooo... ppl that dont want to have to grind for hours to make a few million are whiny kids? Awesome to know.

Lol its also funny that your telling ppl that dont wanna spend hours on a video game to get a life.

btw: Why do they put Ferrari F1 cars in the game? U can only use them in this week SE, or playing online!?

I havent pay 22500000 to drive them online!! U cant even use them in multiplayer Splitscreen? wtf is the point?

I'm sure there must be something written in Ferrari's Terms and Conditions when they allowed PD to use the Ferrari name.

Ferrari don't like being beaten in F1 let alone in a racing sim.

SE7 is okay, all I need is moar money to maintain my R390 road car and my RUF's, among other cars.

Expensive car is expensive.

Here's a "should" for you guys.

You should have done the original six SE's on more than one account. It did give 2 weeks to complete them,

I have over 14,000,000 credits on two extra accounts and that was from just the 6 SE's. I took it in turns to buy the cars on the accounts and swopped them between all 3 of my accounts.

They were a real bonus if you used them right.

Sure you can. To "use" a car in arcade mode, you have to set it to "favorites." So it can be used for split screen, arcade "solo," practice mode in GT Life in the "one make race" which is just like the seasonal events except at whatever track you choose. The point is it's a great car "to drive" and if driving isn't fun, wrong game. Too many whiners, at least they are giving us "extra" content. And it's not like you had to spend $10 million of your real money. It cost you time, and if you don't like it quit playing.

Yes, only need to do it 700 times to get from level 37 to 38! Brilliant :dopey:

It's not intended on "leveling up" anyone's driver level. It's more to provide "new" racing and some extra chances to get $$. Do an endurance race if you are looking for "xp."

I honestly don't understand the rush to get to level 40. You get there when you get there. What is there when you get there? A trophy, thats about all.

How you get there is another thing. Do you just race whatever race you enjoy, like the new seasonals? Or do you grind something that you don't? Thats up to you, I know.

If it takes me until next year to get there, I know I will enjoy the journey more than someone who has "grinded" just to get there faster.

I hear ya. There are four accounts on my PS3 - one for each family member. I buy the cars, do the SE, send the cars to Person A, who does the SE and sends them to Person B, etc., until they've gone around to everybody and come back to me. Then I can keep them or sell them. Oh, and sometimes they buy cool or odd stuff that comes up in the UCD and share it my way.

Works out pretty well. At one point, I had 20,000,000cr, and the three other accounts were all well over 6,000,000cr each.

This is what I always preached. Whats the rush?

But far as pay outs go.... there is a reason these races werent called 'Bonus Races'

I'm sure Bonus Race 7 will return with a good chunk of Cash and EXP.

This is GTPlanet. Why do expect anything different??
