So I had about $13,000 worth of Apple stuff to order at work. I got a price reference from Apple, who is currently doing free shipping, and sent the list with "the price to beat" to my CDW rep. He beat the price by quite a bit, until I realized he had left out a very important element. So I called him on it and he swore up and down that it was included in something else. So I said, "fine, ship it. when it gets here and the part is missing, you owe me the part for free." He thought maybe he should double check before he shipped the order. Sure enough, he had left out this $500 part. So he corrected that and shot me a new quote. In the mean time he asked his boss what he could give me to say "sorry I screwed up". Boss said give him an iPod.

I am now the proud owner of a Green 4GB iPod Mini. The new one, with the 18 hour battery life.

bitchen Camero.

Oh, and my girlfrie... fiance instructed me to take last friday off for a "surprise". Turns out she bought me a copy of GT4 and gave me an entire day to be alone and play my game. She even fended off my mother who usually likes to take all my free time and turn it into slave labor for herself.

Life is good.

Anyone care to guess what the first thing I did with GT4 was? How about I tell you.

S2000 ... Royal Navy Blue ... and a set of laps on the Nurb ;)

That's noice, thus, the ol' S2000 avatar came back?

Sookie doo!

Yeah, I got tired of not being myself. This is who I am. Red lining a 240HP roadster and screaming at people to wise up.

Hey I'm buying a car on monday. 2003 Civic EX sedan manual tranny. Throwing the money I'm not spending on a new car into the S2000 fund. They had ... seven (?) ... yeah I think seven S2000s at the Honda dealer I'm getting the Civic from. I didn't sit in any of them. I was a very good boy. They even had a 2001 for only twenty grand. I could have bought the ****er. But it's not the one I want.

You are so lucky!!! I need an ipod, and polythony are REALLY testing my patience with these delays for gt4, i know, i know, only, 3 days to gt4, but I NEED IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, lucky you, and well done for being a good boy and not buying that sweet, sweet, swee-   , ahem, excuse me.

Polyphony Digital

Yeah, I'm sure it's hell waiting for it. It's good and all, but don't go crazy over it. After all, this is a game you're talking about.

I received a 40 gig iPod for my birthday. It's niiiice. But then again, so is the case I bought for it...

So in other words you took something small and sleek and made it big and bulky? AWESOME! (:

I'm just teasing you. A friend of mine bought a $600 phone because it was so small and descrete. Then he went out and bought a $150 case / cover to protect it. At this point it was almost as big as the one I got for free from my cell provider.

I'm so tempted to quote that out of context in my signature...:P

Nah, I wanted something to protect it from drops, scratches, etc. because I'm afraid I'd damage it somehow eventually. The aluminium finish on the back is already scratched up from two months of use before buying the case.

Yea, I have an iPod too, (and a Civic EX manual...) I have to say I haven't been all that impressed (with the iPod). I bought it when 15 gb was the mid range. First of all its a bit fragile, I like my things to be a bit more rugged. Second, the battery life got a bit short (like 1/2 an hour), but thats better now that I reset it to do a big file transfer. But for free, not bad.

Yeah, the Mini is nice. Mine is the newest model, with 18 hour battery life and 4GB of storage. I don't think I need more than that, surely, and the battery life is impressive to say the least.

Though I've found all the iPods to be extremely solid pieces of equipment. I don't know where you're seeing this fragileness.

Oh the back of the bigger iPods scratch even while sitting down on a desk...:(

Got myself a 2mm thick case for mine, and I do need the 20gb. :) I use it to store some backups and my music is 3.5gb at the moment...

Be careful, those things are money pits. So far, I've bought:

White/Citron Vaja Leather iVod Case (20GB Gen4) - $93 shipped
Griffin iTrip - $33 shipped
Sony EX-71 Earphones - $33 shipped

That's $159 - so far. Heck, the iPod itself cost me $291 shipped.

Yes, I refuse to pay for any accessories to go with the damned thing. I will accept gifts from friends and family, but I'd most like to get the accessories from the same guy I got the iPod from.

Yey!!!!! My ipod has finally been ordered!!! And i should be here by now. C'mon parcel force, where the **** are you?!
